I’ve used PCloud for longer than I can remember. It has all my family photos and videos in it. I use it to auto backup our phone photos and I migrated all our old photos to it a decade ago. It renews monthly. Went in looking for photos and most of them are just gone. No explanation. Account was downgraded to basic despite an active subscription and PayPal payment setup. No warning emails, they just started deleting files at random. I’ve reached out to support and will update this review if they recover my files and act appropriately.

Overall a good alternative Big Tech cloud storage
I am using pCloud for several years now as an alternative for my Google drive and OneDrive and it is working really well on my phone. I am no longer using the pCloud desktop application on my laptop for making backups as it lacks some functionality. Fortunately third-party backup software is working with pCloud. very happy with that.

It's extremely slow to sync
I've lowered my review to one star as nothing at all is currently working. Can't upload with out errors. I've been using pCloud for 7 months now and I'm disappointed with the service. It's not the quickest to upload files and the sync function is so slow it's not actually viable as a service. My Mac reckoned it would take three weeks to sync 36Gb of data. The look and feel are just passable, but not as nice as say Google Drive or Onedrive. My service is up for renewal in the New Year, but I won't renew unless there are big changes at pCloud.

Utilisateur depuis un an et demi, je suis très satisfait de pCloud : synchronisation fiable, applis stables, rien à redire au quotidien. J'ai profité de l'offre du 14 juillet pour passer au forfait 1 To à vie avec Encryption inclus (~200€), et c'est une très bonne affaire. Paiement unique, pas d'abonnement à renouveler, et le chiffrement offert en plus. Tant que la boîte tourne, on garde accès à son cloud sans y repenser — un vrai bon plan sur la durée. Je recommande.

Ich habe das Basic Abo gekauft, jedoch wurde es nicht richtig umgesetzt, da meine alten Fotos nicht hochgeladen wurden sondern nur Fotos, welche entstanden sind nachdem ich das Abo gekauft habe. Der Support antwortet nicht und eine Rückerstattung habe ich somit auch nicht erhalten. Ich dachte ich habe endlich eine (kostengünstige) Alternative zu den Amerikanischen Cloud Diensten gefunden wurde jedoch enttäuscht.

pCloud is full of advertising articles, so I suggest that anyone considering renting it not be fooled by the promotional materials. I've rented this cloud service twice in the past three years, and I've tested it every two or three months for the past five years. Putting aside the features, pCloud's upload and download speeds are really slow, and it even lags at times. However, customer service just pushes the problem onto the user's end, while other cloud services work fine at the same time. pCloud is truly terrible.

The functionality of pCloud is optimal for my usage and expectations. Only once during more than four years there was a problem that my files were not automatically synchronised with pCloud as defined - and this was unfortunately an unreported update-error from pCloud itself and quickly fixed after me reporting it to the help desk. Otherwise all the time stable and available, very satisfying. Also the help function works in general fine (via email), although I got sometimes the impression it's also here partly done by AI. But if you insist by repeat queries to get a useful and reliable answer, you'll get it eventually.

C'est donc résolu merci (J’ai fait des essais de transmission de fichiers(petit) et malgré des bonnes connexions des 2 côtés ,la transmission a été très longue Envoyé le soir et reçu le lendemain matin J’ai eu le cas également pour un simple mail ultérieurement c’est aléatoire. Autre chose que je n’aime , malgré un cloud suisse je suis surpris que les données soit stocké au usa Il faut payé pour les stocké dans un autre pays)

Bonjour j'ai synchronisé mes photos sur Pcloud puis j'ai arreter la synchronisation mais la synchronisation reste effective ce qui fait que je ne peux pas supprimer les fichiers sur Pcloud sans supprimer sur mon disque dur ! le support reste muet malgré mes demandes, je ne sais plus quoi faire et ai perdu 1400 photos!!! mise à jour du 11/7/26 : merci au SAV Pcloud de m'avoir enfin répondu et de m'avoir donné une solution. Il faut écrire en anglais, pas de réponse si on demande en français, étrange?

PCloud: primitiv, umständlich und teils fehlerhaft
Ich hatte PCloud mit 500 GB für ein Jahr gebucht und es nach zwei Tagen bereut. Der einzige Vorteil ist die gute Downloadgeschwindigkeit. Dafür lässt der Upload sehr zu wünschen übrig. Sowohl die Internetseiten also auch die Apps für Windows und Apple machen den Eindruck als stammen sie noch aus den 2000er Jahren. Kein strukturierte Ordneransicht, keine einstellbare Sortierung, zum Löschen muss jede Datei einzeln angeklickt werden, Ordnerfreigaben sind extrem umständlich, unübersichtlich und funktionieren nur, wenn am Ordner nichts geändert wird. Das Datenvolumen für freigegebene Ordner ist begrenzt. Fazit: Die gesamte Präsenz von PCloud wirkt billig und primitiv, ist umständlich und nicht annähernd zeitgemäß. ___________________________________________________________ PS: Diese Antwort habe ich erwartet. Ich hatte am 02.07.2026 ein 500 GB Abo bestellt, was um 15:32 Uhr freigeschaltet wurde. Am 03.07.2026 um 21:56 Uhr wurde meine Kündigung schriftlich bestätigt. Das Ganze kann mit den entspr. Mails nachgewiesen werden. Die Daten sind ihnen somit bereits bekannt. Klar, dass sie kritische Bewertungen gerne löschen lassen möchten, doch ändert dies nichts an ihren altertümlichen Produkten und den schlechten Service. Auf eine Rückerstattung warte ich noch immer. Machen Sie ihre Produkte einfach besser, insbesondere die Apps. Schauen Sie wie andere das machen, dann brauchen sie das Rad nicht neu zu erfinden und müssen auch keine schlechten Bewertungen fürchten.

pCloud lifetime opslag van 2 TB aangeschaft. Dit om een extra backup in Europa te hebben staan van mijn bestanden. Dit werkt heel erg goed. De backup synchroniseert ook nog eens automatisch met mijn andere cloudservice. Installatie en gebruik is erg makkelijk. Ik heb 0,5 TB moeiteloos gebackupped zonder problemen.

Technical support is slow, Linux and macOS clients need attention
Summary: The service is generally good, and I like that I can store data in the EU too, but the macOS and Linux clients need some TLC, and the backup service wording is misleading - deleting files from either your PC or the "backup" deletes them from both pCloud and your PC - this is not a backup. Customer support is often slow, taking many days to respond, but they have made a proper effort as of late, attempting (but unfortunately so far failing) to fix an issue I've been having. I've had multiple issues in the past but these have slowly been fixed and the service has become more reliable in general. The macOS client has only just added official support for macOS 12, which is long obsolete, but it does seem to work okay on 26 (which is the current version at the time of writing). I think it must be the kernel extension that allows access to pCloud as if it were a local drive that isn't compatible, but it requires disabling SIP so I don't use it anyway. The Linux client has a number of issues at the moment: A recent update caused it to randomly start locking up when resuming from suspend, but this only occurs a small amount of the time, so tracking it down (and determining if it has been fixed) is quite difficult. Their fix does seem to have made it a little better though. The other problem I've encountered with the Linux client is that it randomly stops noticing new or changed files in the synced folders until you remove and re-add the syncs, which is obviously not good, and manually fixing it depends on you noticing that the problem has occurred. I haven't reported this second problem again yet as I'm trying to get the first one resolved first.

J'ai choisi Pcloud pour sa facilité d'accès, la modif des fichiers via la fonction "edit", le partage entre personnes la fonction Pcloud Pass est super pratique Le support est très réactif. J'ai juste un bémol au niveau de la deconnexion qui n'est pas automatique. La sécurité de mes données n'est pas automatiquement assurée puisque les accès restent ouverts

Just got scammed out of $45
UPDATE 4: I couldn't check whether the issue was fixed or not because I couldn't log in to my account due to an error called "Please provide code". UPDATE 3: Even though this was an urgent issue I was hoping to be resolved in a timely manner, by now the support team still hasn’t responded and assist in resolving the issue. Part of a service is also the timely customer support, which pCloud often lacks in comparison to their competitors. Update 2: Issue hasn’t been resolved yet. I have actually responded to the support team via email but I haven’t gotten a response yet. Just got scammed out of $45. The support didn’t even reply to my emails…basically while creating my account and signing up, Pcloud didn’t let me and kept showing error time out. Which led me to use incognito to create and buy the annual plan. But then once I login on regular devices, my subscription plan is GONE! And the support doesn’t even so much as has automated reply let alone respond to my email… insanity. UPDATE: after reading the response from pCloud team, it’s most likely not a typo actually. Since I received both emails confirming that I have a subscription AND emails saying I should upgrade my account. I don’t have a ticket ID at all, so if you want to reach me, I have already updated the information and sent it to you as requested. I’ve tried sending a support request through the site and by gmail but didn’t receive a response yet, and I quite need it asap. Thanks!

A 5 start review based on transient use
I havent used pCloud for long. That being said, I'm so far very happy for choosing pCloud. Based on what I have experienced until now: 1. There customer service is very responsive, friendly and supportive. 2. Navigation of the website is very easy and fast. 3. No downtime and 4. Upload and download speeds are reasonably fast. Once I use it for a while, I will update my review accordingly. Until then, it's a 5 star.

DO NOT BUY IF ON A MAC. please don't buy a lifetime subscription like I did. the service is shocking and the app just hangs finder and causes your computer to crash regularly. They ask you to make security changes to allow kernel extensions and they clearly have no idea what they are doing. Service acknowledge that there are issues but it's been months and no fixes and they won't give a refund for this shoddy cloud service

Perche' una stella? Perche' e' un sistema collegato alla email. Quindi, se perdi l'accesso alla email, e magari ti si rompe il telefono che usavi per entrare sull App, perdi tutto! Basta con questi programmi che compriamo ma che li collegate a vita a una cavolo di email! Se io pago il programma, a mio rischio e pericolo, dovrei poter scegliere se mettere ulteriori controlli o semplicemente poter entrare con una MASTER PASSWORD! Altro punto negativo: Per l'App su Windows non esiste lingua italiana 👎🏼 Aggiornamento: Ho compilato, nella email arrivata da Trustpilot, dove mi diceva che pCloud richiedeva info aggiuntive del mio account, indicando appunto il mio account. In ogni modo ho fatto 2 precise segnalazioni (che non sono problemi): 1) App per windows manca la lingua italiana! .....VERO O FALSO? 2) Manca la possibilita' di accedere SOLO inserendo una Master Password, cosi' da poter dissociare pCloud acquistato da una cavolo di casella postale! ....VERO O FALSO?

Bonne solution technique qui permet d'avoir ses fichiers aussi bien sur ordinateur que sur tablette et smartphone. Pendant de nombreuses années la solution étant stable je me suis décidé à upgrader en version à vie. Malheureusement depuis le début d'année c'est un peu la catastrophe (lié au stockage des données aux US ?): - En mars 2026 plantage de la synchronisation avec l'apparition du message "Pcloud n'a pas les autorisations pour télécharger cet élément". Impossible de savoir quel répertoire pose problème donc contact de service client qui me dit qu'il faut supprimer toutes les synchronisations en cours et les re-créer une à une. Certes la solution fonctionne mais plus de 2 jours pour que la synchronisation soit de nouveau opérationnelle... avec au passage quelques soucis de doublons. - Et il y a quelques jours, re-belote de nouveau le message d'erreur à priori sur des répertoires "/" et "Unknow_path" (version 5.0.20 et W11). Selon le service client à priori "les développeurs travaillent sur le problème" mais je sens que je vais devoir repartir pour une réinitialisation de la base et 2 jours de synchro ! Dommage que ce manque de fiabilité porte préjudice à une solution qui fonctionnait bien.

Application pcloud windows 11. Je veux me connecter avec mon adresse mail + mot de passe pcloud. Un écran me dit qu'il m'envoie un sms... que je ne reçois jamais. Je redemande plusieurs fois un sms... que je ne reçois jamais (et je n'ai rien de bloqué sur mon smartphone) Je vais sur le site pcloud et là on me refuse la connexion car trop de sms envoyés... Bon je me connecte à partir de mon smartphone avec l'application android et je veux aller dans mes paramètres pour changer cette authentification qui ne fonctionne pas du tout mais la version android ne permet pas de faire un tel changement. Bref AUCUN accès possible avant je suppose au moins 24 heures. C'est une application préhistorique aussi lourde qu'un mammouth fatigué

Pcloud ne fonctionne plus depuis la version 5.0.20
Windows 11 Pro, mis à jour. Pcloud 5.0.20. Pcloud fonctionnait bien. Depuis la version 5.0.20, rien ne va plus. La synchronisation ne fonctionne plus. Il reste bloqué sur le téléversement d'un fichier sans dire lequel, et qui a une taille de 196,96 on ne sait pas quoi, parce que les programmeurs de Pcloud n'ont pas eu la bonne idée d'afficher l'unité utilisée (Go ? Ko ?). D'autre part, il affiche des notifications "Unknown_path" et "pCloud n'a pas les autorisations nécessaires pour télécharger cet élément", sans dire de quel élément il s'agit. Pourtant, tous les éléments sont en vert sur le PC. Fiabilité douteuse. J'arrête de l'utiliser, et je sors le bon vieux disque externe. Là, au moins, il n'y a pas de problème. Pour alimenter le téléphone, je n'ai besoin que de très peu de fichiers que je copierai à la main de temps en temps, du PC vers le téléphone.

I’ve been using pCloud on my phone for a few months now, and it’s been steady overall. My uploads usually run in the background without me having to babysit them, and my photos sync the way I expect. What I like most is that it doesn’t randomly crash on me like a few other apps I’ve tried. Bitte umstellen auf Apples File Provider API Ich habe bereits 16 TB bei pCloud gekauft und nutze einen Mac mit Apple Silicon. Die Installation von pCloud Drive verlangt aber, dass man den Mac in den Recovery Mode neu startet und die Sicherheitsstufe dauerhaft auf "Reduced Security" senkt, damit eine Kernel Extension geladen werden kann. Das ist 2026 für mich keine zumutbare Hürde mehr – ich bin nicht bereit, das Schutzniveau meines gesamten Systems zu reduzieren, nur um meinen eigenen Cloud-Speicher zu nutzen. Apple stellt seit macOS 12.3 (März 2022) die File Provider Extension API bereit. Genau dafür gedacht. Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive und Box haben längst umgestellt – Installation ohne Kext, ohne Recovery Mode, ohne Sicherheits-Downgrade, mit nativer Finder-Integration und On-Demand-Download. pCloud hängt hier technisch deutlich hinterher und das wird mit jedem macOS-Release schlimmer (siehe die zahlreichen Berichte zu Problemen unter Tahoe 26). Solange das nicht modernisiert wird, ist das Produkt für sicherheitsbewusste Mac-Nutzer faktisch nicht nutzbar. Schade, denn die Idee und das Lifetime-Modell sind eigentlich attraktiv. Sobald pCloud auf die File Provider API umstellt, gerne mehr Sterne. --- **Update nach Antwort von pCloud:** pCloud hat geantwortet und argumentiert im Kern, Reduced Security sei "keine Schwächung" des Systems, sondern entspreche dem Niveau von Big Sur und gebe "mehr Flexibilität". Außerdem bräuchten Sync und Backup keine Sicherheitsänderung. Drei Punkte dazu: 1. Sync und Backup sind nicht das Verkaufsargument von pCloud – das wäre in jedem Ordner möglich. Der eigentliche Mehrwert ist das virtuelle Drive mit On-Demand-Zugriff. Genau dafür ist die Reduced-Security-Einstellung nötig. 2. Die Aussage, Reduced Security sei keine Schwächung, ist Framing. Apple selbst nennt diese Stufe "Reduced Security" – und sie erlaubt grundsätzlich das Laden beliebiger signierter Kernel Extensions, nicht nur der von pCloud. Genau das ist der Sicherheitsunterschied zu Full Security. 3. Zur eigentlichen Frage – der Migration auf Apples File Provider API – keine Aussage. Keine Roadmap, kein Commitment. Mitbewerber wie LucidLink kommunizieren ihre Migration offen. pCloud nicht. Die Bewertung bleibt bei zwei Sternen, bis es eine konkrete Aussage zur File Provider API gibt.
