Ich habe vor einigen Wochen 500 GB…

Ich habe vor einigen Wochen 500 GB Lifetime für 199 Euro gekauft. Bin Top zufrieden bis jetzt. Gelegentlich liest mal, dass pCloud Zugang löscht, da bin ich ein bisschen skeptisch, habe mich aber trotzdem getraut Lifetime zu buchen, weil ich vom Guten ausgehe, dass dort was gemacht wurde, was AGBs verstoßen hat. Falls mein Zugang gesperrt/gelöscht werden sollte (ich lade nur eigene Dateien wie Fotos, Videos evtl. eigene Dokumente hoch), werde ich hier berichten und meine Bewertung anpassen.

🚨 URGENT

🚨 URGENT – Data Loss Case – No Support Response I am facing a critical situation with my pCloud account involving a massive data loss of approximately 16TB. A large amount of data was deleted (possibly via WebDAV), and the Rewind feature did NOT work properly — it failed to restore both the files and the original folder structure. I have already contacted pCloud support via email multiple times and received NO RESPONSE so far. This is extremely serious, as it involves a huge volume of important data and potential damages. I am requesting urgent escalation and direct support from someone at pCloud who can: • Check server-side backups or snapshots • Restore my account to a previous state • Provide a clear timeline and solution This situation raises serious concerns about data reliability and support responsiveness. A solid crossplatform service I have used for a few years now but I have a few gripes!

I have used PCloud for a few years now and the service is acceptable and comes in clutch when you need it the most. I love that it's crossplatform like it works on Android, Windows, MacOS, iPhone, iPad, you name it. PCloud backed up all my photos on an old Degoogled Android device that died suddenly and it is just such a lifesaver to have your files backed up in Pcloud. Overall I have been very happy with my experience so far but I have a few gripes. My main problems with Pcloud: I still have a lot of issues with the MacOS Pcloud Drive app, especially with the Crypto folder literally just crashing out on me it makes it hard to actually upload large amounts of files in there which is disappointing because I like having my data encrypted and I paid specifically for the encryption service so I'd like to use it. Sometimes the upload speeds even non-encrypted are painfully slow too, even for relatively small file loads and I'll end up having to give up and try again later. Still giving this app 5 stars for its overall reliability over the years and being a strong alternative to the big cloud players like Google Drive, OneDrive, iCloud, etc.

no refund issued after 2 months (asked…

no refund issued after 2 months (asked right after purchase). The company has outdate cloud client on mac which requires unsafe kernel extensions. I refunded life time plan the same day as I purchased as I didn't know that. Their customer support was sending me "next week we'll sort it out" emails for a month. Then, I raised a dispute with a mechant through my bank and still wait for a response from the company. Unreliable company, NEVER DEAL WITH THEM

I have used Pcloud for over 10years and…

I have used Pcloud for over 10years and have the lifetime plan. 2T. The downside with the lifetime plan is that there is no incentive to help if things go bad. I had to uninstall Pcloud and reinstall. After doing so, somehow I lost 32 days of production files. They were no longer on the server. I messaged their Support, and they said that the files aren't on the drive. No kidding. That's why I messaged them. I never deleted anything and I would never delete over a month of production. The ONLY explanation is that pCloud was NOT syncing in real time. And hasn't synced in 32 days. If it did. I could have used Rewind, or found the files in the trash. So, now i have to spend the next 30 days recreating the files I lost. I am also going to stop using Pcloud because I can't take the chance of losing so much production time. This is a business crippling fail. I responded to their support when they told me my files were not on the server. They haven't explained why it wasn't syncing for the last 32 days. I will come back and update upon their response.

pCloud Tech Support too slow

I have been with pCloud for a couple of years now and it was working fine until September 2025. At that time I started getting "hung" syncs. I contacted support who advised me to stop the sync, uninstall and reinstall the desktop (Mac) app and restart the sync. This worked for a bit before occurring again and the same steps were recommended - I probably did this three further times between October and February. On 26 February 2026 it happened again. I contacted pCloud again for a better resolution than uninstall and installation; however, they again told me to uninstall and reinstall; however, this time the solution has NOT worked. Trying to set up a sync like previously no longer works and when I do set up a new folder to sync it syncs what is currently on the cloud from my previous (stopped) sync back to my computer!! I also get an error message to enable system extensions. I did that but the issue still persists. I went to Apple and spent two hours on screen share with them trying to fix the issue; however, they concluded the issue was with pCloud. We had even tried downloading another third party app to see if it required enabling of security extensions. It did not so the problem was clearly not with Apple. Apple also mentioned this is a known issue on their end as numerous customers have contacted them trying to resolve the issue but every time it has been referred back to pCloud. I went back to pCloud detailing the conversation with Apple and what we had tried to resolve the issue. pCloud ignored this and then told me to make sure the extension is enabled. It doesn't work! It is now the 14 March so this has been going on for over 2 weeks without a resolution. Emails can take 2-5 days for them to respond to and then it doesn't address the issues raised and they instead tell you to do things you've already done and haven't worked. I've been happy with pCloud up until now; however, if this cannot be resolved soon I will have to find another company to use and request a refund because I paid in October and it has been a headache for most of that time!

It's hard to recommend

I got pCloud as I wanted to avoid American tech companies, however, I regret it as OneDrive and Dropbox are so much better. The integration on Mac OS is terrible. Spotlight can't search within the pCloud folder so finding your files is difficult. The application regularly crashes when deleting files from the finder window.

Jahrelang zufrieden – doch im Ernstfall lassen Technik und Support einen völlig im Stich

Ich nutze pCloud seit Mai 2022 und war bisher eigentlich zufrieden. Am 09.03.2026 kam es jedoch zu einem kritischen Vorfall: Eine externe Software löschte fälschlicherweise den kompletten Inhalt meines Laufwerks P. Was daraufhin passierte, ist an Frustration kaum zu überbieten: Defekte Rettungsfunktion: Ich versuchte, die Daten über die „Rewind“-Funktion zurückzuholen. Dabei wurde jedoch die komplette Ordnerstruktur von hunderten Unterverzeichnissen zerstört! Die manuelle Wiederherstellung dieses Chaos war extrem mühsam und zeitraubend. Fehlerhaftes App-Verhalten: Die Desktop-App sicherte eigenständig weiter, obwohl in den Einstellungen keinerlei entsprechende Konfiguration zu finden war. Erst durch eine komplette Deinstallation der Software und eine Neuanmeldung konnte ich die normale Funktion mühsam wiederherstellen. Völlige Funkstille beim Support: Seit dem 09.03.2026 versuche ich verzweifelt, den Support zu erreichen. Weder über das Kontaktformular noch über diverse E-Mail-Adressen, mit denen ich früher bereits korrespondiert hatte, erhalte ich eine Antwort. Es ist maßlos enttäuschend: Wenn es wirklich brennt, steht man bei pCloud völlig alleine da. Dass ein zahlender Kunde bei solch schwerwiegenden Problemen über Tage ignoriert wird, ist inakzeptabel. Ich kann aufgrund dieser Erfahrung aktuell nur dringend von diesem Anbieter abraten! Nachtrag vom 16.03.2026: Ich kann keine Ticketnummer angeben, weil ich auf keinen Kontaktversuch eine Antwort erhalten habe!

Non-existent support!

Update: The pCloud folks got back to me and helped me figure it out. They were backlogged and very busy. So, in part, it was somewhat my panicking. Thanks pCloud! Old: No problem with using the product until this past week when I went to a link and there was a message saying to the effect “oh no there is nothing at this link”, paraphrasing. I use the cloud service to house files for a pharmacist education program. So participants couldn’t access the files. I have four terabytes of space and have used under 100 gigabytes and the “service” appears to have removed large files. I tried to upload the backups but it says I don’t have enough space! I filled out the support request form and sent an email. Four days and no response. So if you have any critical access issues, you are left hanging. Non-existent support!!! Update: pCloud responded to Trustpilot review, but I have yet to get a response to my original email to them from 3/9/2026. I sent another email 3/12/2026 and also replied to the Trustpilot request for more information. We will see if they respond. I do appreciate them responding to the Trustpilot review.

Paying Customers Ignored – pCloud Desktop Broken

I am a paying pCloud user on macOS Mojave with Desktop version 3.15.7. For two full days, the app shows “No Internet Connection” and refuses to work, even though my network is fully functional. Yesterday, I also tried the web interface, which failed as well. What is most alarming is the complete silence from pCloud. No updates, no acknowledgements, no instructions – nothing. This total lack of communication for 48+ hours is unacceptable and shows a blatant disregard for paying customers. I rely on pCloud for important work, and this level of negligence is unprofessional and damaging to your reputation. Immediate action, clear communication, and a real fix are the only acceptable responses. pCloud, you cannot ignore your paying users – we deserve transparency and a working product. “Update in response to pCloud’s reply…” Hello, pCloud has clearly abandoned support for macOS Mojave and earlier. Selling “lifetime” licenses while making the software unusable on still-common systems is misleading. Please provide the last version that officially works on macOS 10.14 Mojave so customers can actually use the product they paid for. Thank you.

Great sync, but support is non-existent when you need it

I’ve generally been happy with pCloud’s syncing performance, because when it works, it’s solid. But the customer support experience has been extremely disappointing. I’ve been a paying customer since 2019, and this is now the third year in a row I’ve had the same renewal/billing issue: I have to chase support so they charge me for the correct (higher) plan, and only then my account can sync normally again. This year, I emailed on 22/02/2026 (one day before renewal) reminding them to renew on the 4TB plan instead of the 2TB plan. There was no response, and pCloud still charged €99 for the 2TB plan automatically. I followed up on 26/02/2026 and every couple of days since, but a week later I still haven’t received a response. To make things worse, I’m currently unable to sync my files, which is urgent and directly impacts my work. Syncing may be good, but if support doesn’t show up when there’s a billing or account issue, it’s hard to recommend. Pricing also has not been updated in years, and their plans are becoming less and less attractive.

pClowns — How can a company we so bad?

If there are any business management students who want to see how not to run a company, pCloud would be a prime candidate. Their concept is great — free lifetime storage without monthly fees. Their execution is a disaster. Buggy software, non-existent support and recently, they just stopped supporting older machines without any warning. So if you have a WebDav client on your machine that connected to your pCloud Drive, that's now gone. When asked why? Their support says, "Upgrade your OS." I have 6TB that I now can't access from my computer — only via browser. Find another provider. These guys are the worst.

Logged me out no way to assess again

Logged me out, and no other way to log back in. Email server is broken and does not send any verification code for >8hrs now. It's joke, not even a reset my password link, no 2nd factor authentication. AI agent is junk on webchat, no live agent, no support.

A very satisfied user of pCloud for over 8 years

I have been a user of pCloud for over eight years now. I am extremely pleased that I am able to get ample, easily accessible, secured storage for a reasonable price. pCloud's value is much greater than its price. I am thrilled by pCloud's customer/support services. They have always been quite responsive and helpful when I needed them. I’m a big fan of pCloud and have recommended it to others who need file storage, and I’ll keep doing so.

Data leak? lalalala can't hear you, go away....

Functionality, speed, value, all great. That's why it's two stars not one. My problem is that pCloud is clearly having some issues with users being able to see other users' files - bad enough - and while they clearly know about it and make some vague efforts to address concerns to individual users (see other posts here and on Reddit), they seem to want to ignore it as a general thing. To me, it implies they just want it all to go away instead of dealing with it,. And I don't want a company with my files to have that attitude, so I'm moving to another provider.

Sehr schlechte Verbindungen

Sehr schlechte Verbindungen. Regelmässige Abrückte sind an der Tagesordnung. Ein verlässliches Arbeiten ist nicht möglich!! Insbesondere mit Mac OS26, aberzeitweise auch mit dem aktuellen IOS. In OS verschwinden regelmäßig die Daten komplett, dh sie sind nicht mehr sichtbar. Oftmals erst wieder nach einem Neustart.

Piano da 2TB annuali perso

Ho aggiunto ad un piano da 2TB annuali, appena sottoscritto un mese fa, un piano a vita da 5TB (500 euro), ma Pcloud anzichè riconoscermi 7TB (ossia 2+5) per i prossimi 11 mesi già pagati me ne riconosce solo 5TB, ossia quelli a vita. Ho pertanto fatto presente il problema via mail al cosiddetto support (in inglese) che però per ben 2 volte mi ha completamente ignorato, facendomi di fatto perdere l'abbonamento di 2TB ancora valido per 11 mesi. Pessima esperienza, oltre che sevizio clienti inesistente! Assolutamente sconsigliato, non sono seri ne professionali. In risposta alla vostra precisazione su Trustpilot, ed alla vostra proposta di rimborso, vi chiedo però come posso contattarvi, visto che fin ora non ho mai ricevuto risposta dal vostro servizio clienti, contattato più volte. Grazie
