pCloud Tech Support too slow

I have been with pCloud for a couple of years now and it was working fine until September 2025. At that time I started getting "hung" syncs. I contacted support who advised me to stop the sync, uninstall and reinstall the desktop (Mac) app and restart the sync. This worked for a bit before occurring again and the same steps were recommended - I probably did this three further times between October and February. On 26 February 2026 it happened again. I contacted pCloud again for a better resolution than uninstall and installation; however, they again told me to uninstall and reinstall; however, this time the solution has NOT worked. Trying to set up a sync like previously no longer works and when I do set up a new folder to sync it syncs what is currently on the cloud from my previous (stopped) sync back to my computer!! I also get an error message to enable system extensions. I did that but the issue still persists. I went to Apple and spent two hours on screen share with them trying to fix the issue; however, they concluded the issue was with pCloud. We had even tried downloading another third party app to see if it required enabling of security extensions. It did not so the problem was clearly not with Apple. Apple also mentioned this is a known issue on their end as numerous customers have contacted them trying to resolve the issue but every time it has been referred back to pCloud. I went back to pCloud detailing the conversation with Apple and what we had tried to resolve the issue. pCloud ignored this and then told me to make sure the extension is enabled. It doesn't work! It is now the 14 March so this has been going on for over 2 weeks without a resolution. Emails can take 2-5 days for them to respond to and then it doesn't address the issues raised and they instead tell you to do things you've already done and haven't worked. I've been happy with pCloud up until now; however, if this cannot be resolved soon I will have to find another company to use and request a refund because I paid in October and it has been a headache for most of that time!

It's hard to recommend

I got pCloud as I wanted to avoid American tech companies, however, I regret it as OneDrive and Dropbox are so much better. The integration on Mac OS is terrible. Spotlight can't search within the pCloud folder so finding your files is difficult. The application regularly crashes when deleting files from the finder window.

Jahrelang zufrieden – doch im Ernstfall lassen Technik und Support einen völlig im Stich

Ich nutze pCloud seit Mai 2022 und war bisher eigentlich zufrieden. Am 09.03.2026 kam es jedoch zu einem kritischen Vorfall: Eine externe Software löschte fälschlicherweise den kompletten Inhalt meines Laufwerks P. Was daraufhin passierte, ist an Frustration kaum zu überbieten: Defekte Rettungsfunktion: Ich versuchte, die Daten über die „Rewind“-Funktion zurückzuholen. Dabei wurde jedoch die komplette Ordnerstruktur von hunderten Unterverzeichnissen zerstört! Die manuelle Wiederherstellung dieses Chaos war extrem mühsam und zeitraubend. Fehlerhaftes App-Verhalten: Die Desktop-App sicherte eigenständig weiter, obwohl in den Einstellungen keinerlei entsprechende Konfiguration zu finden war. Erst durch eine komplette Deinstallation der Software und eine Neuanmeldung konnte ich die normale Funktion mühsam wiederherstellen. Völlige Funkstille beim Support: Seit dem 09.03.2026 versuche ich verzweifelt, den Support zu erreichen. Weder über das Kontaktformular noch über diverse E-Mail-Adressen, mit denen ich früher bereits korrespondiert hatte, erhalte ich eine Antwort. Es ist maßlos enttäuschend: Wenn es wirklich brennt, steht man bei pCloud völlig alleine da. Dass ein zahlender Kunde bei solch schwerwiegenden Problemen über Tage ignoriert wird, ist inakzeptabel. Ich kann aufgrund dieser Erfahrung aktuell nur dringend von diesem Anbieter abraten! Nachtrag vom 16.03.2026: Ich kann keine Ticketnummer angeben, weil ich auf keinen Kontaktversuch eine Antwort erhalten habe!

Non-existent support!

Update: The pCloud folks got back to me and helped me figure it out. They were backlogged and very busy. So, in part, it was somewhat my panicking. Thanks pCloud! Old: No problem with using the product until this past week when I went to a link and there was a message saying to the effect “oh no there is nothing at this link”, paraphrasing. I use the cloud service to house files for a pharmacist education program. So participants couldn’t access the files. I have four terabytes of space and have used under 100 gigabytes and the “service” appears to have removed large files. I tried to upload the backups but it says I don’t have enough space! I filled out the support request form and sent an email. Four days and no response. So if you have any critical access issues, you are left hanging. Non-existent support!!! Update: pCloud responded to Trustpilot review, but I have yet to get a response to my original email to them from 3/9/2026. I sent another email 3/12/2026 and also replied to the Trustpilot request for more information. We will see if they respond. I do appreciate them responding to the Trustpilot review.

Paying Customers Ignored – pCloud Desktop Broken

I am a paying pCloud user on macOS Mojave with Desktop version 3.15.7. For two full days, the app shows “No Internet Connection” and refuses to work, even though my network is fully functional. Yesterday, I also tried the web interface, which failed as well. What is most alarming is the complete silence from pCloud. No updates, no acknowledgements, no instructions – nothing. This total lack of communication for 48+ hours is unacceptable and shows a blatant disregard for paying customers. I rely on pCloud for important work, and this level of negligence is unprofessional and damaging to your reputation. Immediate action, clear communication, and a real fix are the only acceptable responses. pCloud, you cannot ignore your paying users – we deserve transparency and a working product. “Update in response to pCloud’s reply…” Hello, pCloud has clearly abandoned support for macOS Mojave and earlier. Selling “lifetime” licenses while making the software unusable on still-common systems is misleading. Please provide the last version that officially works on macOS 10.14 Mojave so customers can actually use the product they paid for. Thank you.

Great sync, but support is non-existent when you need it

I’ve generally been happy with pCloud’s syncing performance, because when it works, it’s solid. But the customer support experience has been extremely disappointing. I’ve been a paying customer since 2019, and this is now the third year in a row I’ve had the same renewal/billing issue: I have to chase support so they charge me for the correct (higher) plan, and only then my account can sync normally again. This year, I emailed on 22/02/2026 (one day before renewal) reminding them to renew on the 4TB plan instead of the 2TB plan. There was no response, and pCloud still charged €99 for the 2TB plan automatically. I followed up on 26/02/2026 and every couple of days since, but a week later I still haven’t received a response. To make things worse, I’m currently unable to sync my files, which is urgent and directly impacts my work. Syncing may be good, but if support doesn’t show up when there’s a billing or account issue, it’s hard to recommend. Pricing also has not been updated in years, and their plans are becoming less and less attractive.

pClowns — How can a company we so bad?

If there are any business management students who want to see how not to run a company, pCloud would be a prime candidate. Their concept is great — free lifetime storage without monthly fees. Their execution is a disaster. Buggy software, non-existent support and recently, they just stopped supporting older machines without any warning. So if you have a WebDav client on your machine that connected to your pCloud Drive, that's now gone. When asked why? Their support says, "Upgrade your OS." I have 6TB that I now can't access from my computer — only via browser. Find another provider. These guys are the worst.

Logged me out no way to assess again

Logged me out, and no other way to log back in. Email server is broken and does not send any verification code for >8hrs now. It's joke, not even a reset my password link, no 2nd factor authentication. AI agent is junk on webchat, no live agent, no support.

A very satisfied user of pCloud for over 8 years

I have been a user of pCloud for over eight years now. I am extremely pleased that I am able to get ample, easily accessible, secured storage for a reasonable price. pCloud's value is much greater than its price. I am thrilled by pCloud's customer/support services. They have always been quite responsive and helpful when I needed them. I’m a big fan of pCloud and have recommended it to others who need file storage, and I’ll keep doing so.

Data leak? lalalala can't hear you, go away....

Functionality, speed, value, all great. That's why it's two stars not one. My problem is that pCloud is clearly having some issues with users being able to see other users' files - bad enough - and while they clearly know about it and make some vague efforts to address concerns to individual users (see other posts here and on Reddit), they seem to want to ignore it as a general thing. To me, it implies they just want it all to go away instead of dealing with it,. And I don't want a company with my files to have that attitude, so I'm moving to another provider.

Sehr schlechte Verbindungen

Sehr schlechte Verbindungen. Regelmässige Abrückte sind an der Tagesordnung. Ein verlässliches Arbeiten ist nicht möglich!! Insbesondere mit Mac OS26, aberzeitweise auch mit dem aktuellen IOS. In OS verschwinden regelmäßig die Daten komplett, dh sie sind nicht mehr sichtbar. Oftmals erst wieder nach einem Neustart.

Piano da 2TB annuali perso

Ho aggiunto ad un piano da 2TB annuali, appena sottoscritto un mese fa, un piano a vita da 5TB (500 euro), ma Pcloud anzichè riconoscermi 7TB (ossia 2+5) per i prossimi 11 mesi già pagati me ne riconosce solo 5TB, ossia quelli a vita. Ho pertanto fatto presente il problema via mail al cosiddetto support (in inglese) che però per ben 2 volte mi ha completamente ignorato, facendomi di fatto perdere l'abbonamento di 2TB ancora valido per 11 mesi. Pessima esperienza, oltre che sevizio clienti inesistente! Assolutamente sconsigliato, non sono seri ne professionali. In risposta alla vostra precisazione su Trustpilot, ed alla vostra proposta di rimborso, vi chiedo però come posso contattarvi, visto che fin ora non ho mai ricevuto risposta dal vostro servizio clienti, contattato più volte. Grazie

Uitstekende service

Ik heb 2 weken geleden een life time cloud abonnement gekocht. 500 GB for €200,- Vond ik opzich niet duur. Dit geldt voor 99 jaar. Het werkt fantastisch en de servers staan o.a. in Europa. 2 weken later had pcloud een Valentijnsaanbod. 1 TB voor €200,- Ik heb contact gezocht of ik daar ook gebruik van kon maken met terug werkende kracht. Een week later kreeg ik de melding dat mijn life time account opgehoogd was naar 1 TB. Dat is nog eens service. Geweldig!

Alles wat ik van een cloudservice verwacht: sync, backup, versleuteling etc. En een klantenservice die zeer snel en met kennis van zaken reageert. En mijn (!) fouten herstelt. Betaalbaar, Zwitsers, Europees.

Not secure - user data exposed

I was a user of pCloud but I closed my account. Many users are seeing other peoples files on their computer. This is a serious data breach. Search pCloud Reddit for many examples and screenshots of this. Edit (19-01-2026) in response to pCloud's response: You say that "Such information (file metadata) constitutes personal data under the GDPR" and you also say "Should the incident qualify as a notifiable personal data breach, we will notify the competent supervisory authority and affected users without delay." Clearly, from the many reports and screenshots on Reddit, this data breach has occurred on several occasions and continues to occur, so you should have already notified them. You have not issued a formal statement about these incidents after a whole month, and continue to make it sound as if nothing has happened. You are concealing a serious data breach and basically playing down the seriousness of the situation. Furthermore, if there is a bug in the client software you should have released a fix by now. The truth is that you don't want to admit culpability.

Buenos días. Me suscribí a un plan vitalicio para las copias con mi NAS. Me indican que el servicio WEBDAV funciona con 2FA. NO es verdad, pese al vídeo de 5 minutos que les envió donde se ve siempre el mensaje "error interno, pruebe más tarde". Mientras que sin 2FA funciona correctamente. Ya han dejado de contestarme los emails, porque le he pedido el reembolso, al no cumplir el contrato suscrito. Actualizado 03/03/2026 Estoy desacuerdo con la contestación, en un email suyo me indican que sí es compatible. Además que sentido tiene no poder activar el 2FA y disminuir la seguridad de mi cuenta. Estoy en proceso de disputa, señores de Pcloud. Actualizado: Pese a que indican en su politica la NO devolución del importe en periodos de "gracia". Me realizaron el desembolso del dinero. No es un mal servicio, pero para poder ofrecer su servicio con NAS, deberían mejorar esta parte. Existe competencia que sí ofrece facilidades y pagos vitalicios para NAS y más o mismo igual precio y en Europa.

PCloud n’est pas une solution fiable.

PCloud n’est pas une solution fiable. Après 7 années d’utilisation de PCloud (abonnement à 49 euros/an pour 500 Mo), PCloud a rencontré des problèmes techniques pour prélever l’abonnement. Le message d'erreur qu’ils me communiquent est UNEXPECTED SYSTEM ERROR - PLEASE RETRY LATER. Donc pas de problème apparent de mon côté. Parallèlement, PCloud me menace d'annuler mon compte sous 48h (message en Anglais alors que le compte est paramétré en Français !). Les mails viennent tous bien du nom de domaine pcloud.com. Je leur ai écrit plusieurs fois en Français et en Anglais, PAS DE REPONSE DE LEUR PART. En urgence, j'ai dû trouver une solution de stockage (type disque dur) et j'ai récupéré mes données en attendant de trouver une autre solution de stockage plus fiable. En tout cas, PCloud n’est pas fiable. (Commentaire factuel ayant pour but d’informer les futurs clients).

pCloud-Drive: Top. Backup: absoluter Flop

Ich habe ein pCloud-Lifetime-Abo mit 2 TB. Das Positive vorweg: das pCloud Drive, also das was als Laufwerk "P" im Windows-Explorer angezeigt wird, funktioniert tadellos. Ordner anlegen, Dateien ablegen, mit anderen Personen bzw. Geräten teilen - absolut ok. Auch unter Linux. Das Backup: hier unterschreibe ich jedes Wort der Rezensionen von Rene Zimmering vom 01.02.2026 und von Finn-Ole Heinrich vom 27.11.2025. Ein Backup, liebe pCloud-Programmierer, ist ein BACKUP. Eine Datensicherung. Punkt. Es ist KEIN Sync und daran gibt es auch nichts zu deuteln. In meiner mittlerweile über 35 Jahre andauernden IT-Tätigkeit habe ich noch nicht ein einziges Mal erlebt, dass aus dem Backup gelöschte Dateien auch auf dem gesicherten Medium gelöscht werden, wie es bei pCloud Backup der Fall ist. Das ist fatal. Das ist einfach völlig falsch. Wozu bietet Ihr Backup und Sync an, wenn doch alles ein Sync ist? Den Begriff "Einwegbackup" gibt es nicht. Der Begriff "Backup" impliziert und einfach jeder erwartet, dass es nur und ausschließlich in eine Richtung geht: von der Quelle zum Ziel, aber niemals, niemals umgekehrt. Ein Sync verteilt Fehler. Ein Backup rettet dich davor. Nicht so bei pCloud. Auch ich habe Daten durch das pCloud-Backup verloren. Aber weil ich ebenfalls ein misstrauischer Mensch bin, habe ich die Daten vorher anderweitig gesichert. Es geht hier um meinen Programmcode aus mehreren Jahren Arbeit, den die pCloud-Programmierer einfach mal so mit ihrer fehlerhaften Interpretation des Begriffs "Backup" vernichtet hätten. Außerdem ist es nicht mal möglich, einen Zielordner anzugeben, in dem ich das Backup ablegen möchte. Auch diese Funktionalität kenne ich bereits aus den 90ern, aber für die pCloud-Programmierer ist das offensichtlich eine zu große Hürde. Weiter: normalerweise überträgt das pCloud Backup die lokalen Dateien und Ordner in ein Verzeichnis namens "pCloud Backup" und darunter in ein Verzeichnis, das mit dem Namen des Computers beschriftet ist. Nach einem Rechnerwechsel legt das Backup Verzeichnisse und Dateien teilweise in diesen besagten Ordner und teilweise wild in das Rootverzeichnis P:\ ab. Was soll das? Lösche ich die Ordner dann aus dem P:\-Rootverzeichnis, sind sie auch auf der lokalen Festplatte weg, weil die Programmierer den Unterschied zwischen Sync und Backup nicht kennen. Aber nach dem Backup liegen nicht nur Dutzende von Dateien und Ordnern direkt im Rootverzeichnis des Laufwerks P:\ - das Backup hat teilweise meine Dateien auf der lokalen Festplatte -also die Originaldateien(!) - UMBENANNT. Bei etlichen Dateien wurde der Dateiname um [conflicted] ergänzt. Egal wie und was, Konflikte hin oder her: ein Backup HAT KEINE Dateien umzubenennen. Ein Backup hat Originaldateien im Originalzustand zu belassen. Aber es kommt noch dicker: Ordner und Dateien, die ich auf dem lokalen Medium lösche, werden auch im Backup gelöscht. Klar sind sie noch im Papierkorb der pCloud-Webseite, aber das ist einfach ein völlig falsches Verhalten. Das weiß jeder IT-Auszubildende nach der ersten Woche. Auch hier verwechseln die Programmierer wieder Backup mit Sync. Dann bietet die Funktionalität "Backup" doch einfach nicht an, anstatt diesen allgemein bekannten und verwendeten Begriff in seiner Bedeutung nach Eurer Auffassung umzumodeln. Das ist ganz schlimm. Das ist ganz, ganz furchtbar. Sowas habe ich noch niemals gesehen. Ich darf gar nicht dran denken, was gewesen wäre, wenn ich mich auf pCloud Backup verlassen hätte.

Leaked data glitch from pCloud

Recent glitch causes my pCloud to become Japanese and force-download a bunch of Japanese files I do not know of into my private pCloud account! This behavior is only for PC. pCloud has been a good service and it's convenient, but do not let that fool you - they do not give a poo about you and your data, and they have either ignored or deny the glitches through email communications. It's been a week and nothing has been fixed.

Dit is oplichting in zijn puurste vorm. Ik heb voor veel geld een lifetime abonnement gekocht. Dat werkt op zich prima. Tot het moment dat ik bestanden van andere gebruikers te zien kreeg. En op Reddit veel vergelijkbare verhalen lees. pCloud zelf lijkt daar niet actief op te handelen. Als ik bestanden van anderen te zien krijg, zal dat andersom ook zo zijn. Wat ook opvallend is: het adres in Zwitserland is slechts een brievenbusfirma. Feitelijk zit pCloud in Roemenië.
