The legal document I needed was fine but the trial charged me $49.00 after 7 days. It thought it was $12.99 a month and am not happy my card charged $49.00. Be careful unsubscribe if you don’t intend to get more than one legal document and be charged $50 for it.

I guess I should have read the BBB reviews before signing up for the 7 day free account. I signed up for the 7 day free trial to take care of some paperwork for my grandmother with cancer. Left it open for a couple months because it was only $12.99 a month and I did not know what other legal paperwork I may need. Went to cancel it like 45 days later and it was actually $49 a month. So I was charged $98 for 2 months of service.
I was optimistic when I started this, however. While they do have a broad variety of things to offer, and I would imagine could be worth the value, however, in my personal experience I had to spend so very much time editing and re-editing and getting the formatting right. That it was incredibly time consuming. To get it correct and then even at that point not certain if I had something that would really work.? In comparison. I simply went to AI (particularly grok), and asked it for the same document? It printed it up in seconds for me, and looked very superior to what was offered to me from "Legal Documents" that I paid a subscription for. It was just so incredibly difficult to make their format work and correct it. (Adding to, modifying , or customizing it). If I added too much text (like in an address), or changed one simple thing, it could completely change the page format and Headers or footers. Just putting my information in and getting the formatting to workout it was hours worth of work to get a simple page (that was presented to me in under 30 seconds using Grock), without a fee. - Update * I did receive a reply from law Depot regarding my review and I will say that speaks highly of them. They offered some formatting tips to make things easier. I appreciate them reaching out and paying attention to things and for that reason I've increased my rating of them. They make a very good point that they review everything that they put on the site but it is accurate and legal for use unlike AI generated. That being said, it was annoying to me that I had started a trial and then spent so much time formatting. I didn't go any further and over the weekend they went ahead and charged me $49 for the remainder of the month and it's doubtful I will even go back on their site. So you've had a review of my experience. For someone else that's got good fingers for typing and formatting and is doing it on a computer rather than on a laptop it might be an entirely different experience for you. Good luck

Quick, easy and reasonable price
I was a waste of time. I only needed a POA blank form. Did not need a membership. It would not print out neatly. Ended up getting what I needed from the social worker for free. Why force people to join some stupid site for a form.

I used this app once. Got billed to my credit ever year for a subscription that I did not renew. So buyer beware they take advantage of your account and bill your card on file. Do not recommend. There are other non deceitful companies out there to use.

If these documents hold up in court, if challenged, then this was a great experience. I'm just afraid they are not iron clad because I don't know what I don't know. But they were definitely easy to fill out.
Cannot print my document after making my password
Their subscription is a fraud. They never highlighted $50 and billed $50 immediately after $0. A scam to avoid.
I was able to find the document I needed without too much trouble, so that part was fine. The site is mostly easy enough to get around, but a few of the menus felt a little clunky and I had to click around more than I expected. It did save me some time in the end, but the navigation could definitely be less annoying 0 Reply
I only needed a basic rental form, but ended up finding a ton of other useful templates while I was there. It was easy to pick what I needed and it saved me a lot of time. i kind of regret wasting time looking around elsewhere first 0 Reply
I used one of the documents for a rental agreement, and overall it was solid. It looked clean and seemed to include most of what I needed, though I wasn’t totally sure every section fit my situation right away. I ended up changing a few lines here and there, but I kind of expected that. It’s probably not perfect, but it was definitely easier than trying to start from nothing. Besides the fact we sort of already worked out what will happen, this was an easy process to get document.
Pretty easy to follow.
I googled something and Law Depot came up as a resource. I answered a few questions , entered my email, but NO billing information or password was entered. I realized that this was not the information that I was looking for, so I exited the page and moved on. NO account was created. Next thing I know, my bank was charged $39.90 !!! I called the company, she said she didn't show an account for me (duh?) and wanted me to give her the first 4 numbers and last 4 numbers of my credit card. i told her i would only give the last 4 numbers. Why would I give a company that has just ripped me off even more credit card info that the last 4 numbers? She said there was only a 50% chance that would work. Of course she could't find anything. Now I have to go through the trouble of disputing the charge with my bank! DO NOT EVEN LOOK AT THIS COMPANYS WEBSITE! They'll somehow rip you off!!!
Free Trial date is 4/29/2026 When I try to cancel on 4/29/2026 system shows I was already charged for the next month.

The form was easy to fill out and the charge of $35 for 5 years is excellent.
I used this service in August 2023 for a travel template for my daughter to travel as a minor, this company has since taken £33 a month form my credit card (which i renewed twice in the interim) and continued to extract money form me without ever once communicating with me. This is scandalous and appalling. How can this be allowed? I demand a repayment immediately.

It was really easy to print my document once I was done with it. And the sharing option was nice too, I could just send it over to the other person without dealing with a bunch of downloads or extra steps. Smooth overall, and yeah, it definitely saved me some time. 0 Reply

Great service, No Stress!
I canceled my free trial a day after I tried using LawDepot. The wording in the document still had to be edited by an actual lawyer. Not worth the money. In any case, they charged my card after I explained I canceled, they said oh well, we got your money. I told them it would be easier to just do a refund instead of me filing a charge with my bank. The person said I was "threating them" and disconnected the chat. With that said, I would recommend other services before using this one, as they operate on shady business practices. Not saying what they do is illegal, but it is very suspect that their cancel options don't work when you push the cancel button, and when you ask for a refund they hang up on you.
