Their pricing model is very misleading…

Their pricing model is very misleading and predatory. I saw a course I was interested in watching and got the monthly subscription. When I tried to access the course, it was blocked and said I could only watch it with the yearly subscription model. I asked for a refund and customer service told me their sales are final. Double check to make sure the course is available under your pricing before you pay. They have good instructors but their pricing model is very misleading.

Predatory profit model

Predatory profit model - I purchased a course through my company and after 3x months it automatically renewed into a one year subscription without any warning. The exam "expired" after 6months so I cant even write the exam when I choose so I have a one year subscription and cant even get a cert - $949 later!! Waste of time and money, will never recommend or use again. Yes I took long to write the exam but I have work and other commitments so dont have a lot of time to commit and SHOULD be able to write when I am ready like other vendors especially after how much I paid.

The course I was interested in required…

The course I was interested in required an upgrade and I found it to be substandard. I asked to downgrade my subscription to the previous level and was denied. I will not renew as there are plenty of competitors who have better content. Unfortunately I was not allowed to preview the course, so this feels like a predatory business model.

Predatory, lazy business model

Like the other reviewer, their price structure and subscriptions are easily the worst I have ever seen on a website. There is no way to buy an exam voucher without getting signed up for a subscription THAT WILL AUTO-RENEW. Please be aware if you do not go and cancel your subscription (without ever buying or consenting to it) you will be charged. If the other reviews are anything to go on, you will not be seeing that money ever again. Their business model is predatory and they realize they have a product people don't want and instead of improving, they are finding legal loopholes to steal people's money instead. The course content is also an absolute embarrassment. They clearly had no idea what their plan was going in. All the content is verbose for, what I can only assume, was to extend video time for advertising how many hours of video they offer. Much content is repeated while doing the same course. The labs are a completely disaster. There are much much better things to spend your money on. Proceed with caution.

Misleading price structure

Misleading price structure. I purchased a monthly subscription and only then found out that course I was after was only available in yearly subscription. The website price / course structure is very messy only allowing you know what oiy buy after the purchase. When I raised the issue the representative got very arrogant and eventually did not respond to my query. AVOID.

A Cautionary Tale of Misleading Practices and Nonexistent Customer Support

I recently had an unsatisfactory experience with INE that I feel compelled to share, to hopefully prevent others from facing similar frustrations. My journey with INE began with genuine interest in their courses, led by the promising outlines and offerings on their website. However, my enthusiasm quickly turned into disappointment due to misleading subscription options and a rigid refund policy that seemed unfair under the circumstances. Upon selecting a course, I was redirected to a subscription page that did not include the course I was interested in, leading me to purchase a subscription that was, frankly, useless for my needs. When I realized the mistake, which was immediately after the purchase, I reached out to INE's customer support, seeking a refund or a solution that would align with what I was initially promised. The response from INE was disheartening. I was informed that all subscription purchases are final and nonrefundable, as stated in their Terms of Service. This policy, I believe, does not take into consideration situations where the consumer is misled by the website's poor structuring or lack of clear information regarding what is included in each subscription package. What's more, the suggested "solution" was to upgrade my subscription for hundreds of dollars more. This, to me, is not a solution INE's stance on non-refundable subscriptions, despite acknowledging the possibility of misleading information, is alarming. It shows a lack of accountability and customer support, turning what could have been a simple misunderstanding into a costly mistake for the customer. While INE assured me that it was not their intent to mislead, actions speak louder than words. The lack of flexibility in their policies, especially in circumstances that clearly warrant consideration, is a glaring issue that needs addressing. It is essential for businesses to not only provide clear and accurate information about their products and services but also to support their customers when issues arise. I hope my experience serves as a cautionary tale for potential customers. Ensure you understand exactly what you're signing up for with INE, as their policies may leave you without recourse should you find the service not meeting your expectations or needs.

Take the money and run

Have you ever heard that song, take the money and run, by the Steve Miller band? Well, that was my experience with ine.com's eJPT training. Even heavily discounted at the price of $150USD this course is an absolute dumpster fire, and isn't even worth paying that. They refuse a refund even though the labs have tonnes of issues and the content is garbage. I felt the main instructor did not know the content - even on 2x speed he was constantly pausing and looking around trying to find the words he needed to explain what he was teaching. The content is dry and flat. As someone who has completed the BTL1 Certification, it pains me to see how the labs were configured. When the labs do work, there are no questions to enter, only a toggle that says "complete". This is one thing that the Security Blue Teams BTL1 really nailed with their lab/test delivery - they have a lot of questions alongside the lab that cause you to think deeply and dig deeply into the lab. It gives you something to gauge your progress against. I've also studied most of TCM security's courses, and had an attempt at the OSCP. Compared to the two aforementioned courses, the content is absolute garbage. It is unnecessarily verbose, and consists of monotonous instructors showing you how to run commands that you could find in the help section or manual. The cert isn't well recognised in industry. The reason I purchased this, was as a practise in the run up to PNPT and OSCP exams - it may still be worth it for the practice, but I would probably learn more from setting up my own exam lab in my home-lab.
