For students like me on a (tight) budget, Hostinger offers an attractive opportunity to launch their beginner website. With a deep discount found on Student Beans, I just could not pass up the opportunity to take a leap of faith and start creating something new for myself. I was so excited. Web hosting for 4-5 years at a fraction of its original cost? Why not, right? Wrong… It has been issues after issues after issues. Their AI website builder is unreliable. When it (attempts) to execute simple commands, it fails. I asked it to take my website off of live mode and on maintenance mode. That is a straight-forward request; not abstract and not complex. It couldn’t do it. Attempts after attempts, no success. Patience is not the problem here. It’s the fact that it uses AI credits which are not free. And when you reach out to customer service because AI used up your credits? They give you a measly few back. And then they have the audacity to tell you, “That should be plenty for you to finish your website.” They have the audacity to tell me what I do with the credits I purchased? I am appalled. No company should ever tell a customer what to do with what they purchased with their money. Ever. Another issue I had is when I was in the process of checking out a new domain. Before hitting submit, I realized I’d check another provider first. I opened a new tab and went to that website but they were going to charge more in the long run. So, I went back to the Hostinger tab. As soon as I clicked on the tab, the page automatically submitted the order. How does that happen?? Granted, customer service provided a way to get me refunded, but having that issue and then having to reach out to two different teams are so inconvenient. I am tempted to cancel and get my money back but who knows what kind of fight I have to put up with just to recover my funds? I am absolutely disappointed. The funny thing is, when I asked AI for comparison between various web hosting service providers, it told me that Hostinger was the most cost-efficient option but the downside is that they haven’t been around as long as other companies and that reliability might not be as established. I should have listened. Points for AI (the one that works). Hostinger, do better.

Dann brach alles zusammen. **Was schiefging:** - Hostinger startet NIS2-Verifizierung und droht mit Sperrung - Kurz vorher: "Alles ok, kein Problem" (per Support-Ticket) - Direkt nach meiner Antwort: **Domain gesperrt, Website offline** - **Seit 2 Tagen: 100% Downtime** – Buchungssystem down, Kunden können nicht reservieren, Zahlungen fallen aus **Support ist wertlos:** - Immer derselbe Support-Agent mit identischem Skript-Text - Keine konkrete Antwort auf: "Welche Dokumente braucht ihr genau?" - Ständig neue Verifizierungsanfragen – sieht aus wie "Wir haben keinen Plan" - Ausländischer Call-Center-Support, keine lokale Eskalation - Null Verantwortung: "Wir können nichts tun, laden Sie Dokumente hoch" **Das Resultat:** 2 Tage Downtime bei einer geschäftskritischen Website ist nicht einfach ein Problem – das ist ein Geschäftsschaden. Kunden können nicht buchen, Revenue ist weg. **Meine Warnung:** Wenn dein Business davon abhängt, dass die Website online ist (E-Commerce, Buchungen, Kundencommunication): **Bleib weg von Hostinger.** Geh zu Ionos, Strato oder Hetzner – die verstehen, dass Downtime = Business-Desaster ist. 30+ Jahre im IT-Business. Das ist mit Abstand das unprofessionellste Erlebnis mit einem Hoster, das ich hatte.

Hostinger block your access at random times. I have $1,000 of orders today and I cannot access my account for NO REASON AT ALL. Now i have to submit my passport, bank details, payment proof from my bank. HOSTINGER invoices and payments are not VIABLE for HOSTINGER. They do not accept their own payment records.
