Book bolt is horrific. I cant beleieve with a huge rise in automation this company can get this so very wrong. Its borderline corrupt. This is a major flaw in the companies website, everything, this company looked appealing as i currently set up a shop on shopify and this was a suggested add on for creative media and fulfilment options. Worst decision i ever made. This company is rogue and heres why, one hour into a 72 hour trial i was charged the monthly amount, not what was agreed. This company has a few usps so i was digging around it is. Ot fulfilment at all it offers courses on writing code and building websites something I can already do on shopify. I cannot for the life of me find an initial mission statement so i have no clue what is does. Ive contacted customer service only to receive a lengthy email that offered no plan to solve this problem. Im paying 21 a month for nothing and they are just taking the money without offering anything in return. I will be making complaints at my bank this week.

Excellent idea, but unreliable software and poor customer support
I have been a paying Book Bolt Pro subscriber for a long time, but over the past few months the platform has become increasingly unreliable. Unfortunately, almost every update seems to introduce new problems instead of fixing existing ones. Here are the issues I have experienced: Book Bolt Studio frequently becomes unresponsive. Projects or individual pages randomly fail to open, showing messages like "Something went wrong, try again later." The Studio often loads but then completely stops responding to clicks. Authentication errors such as "The request has not been applied because it lacks valid authentication credentials." Connection errors saying "Cannot connect to the members website, try again later." After the recent billing migration, I started receiving "We are still processing your payment, please wait." even though my subscription is active and my payment has already been processed. Safari is no longer supported properly. After recent updates, I cannot work reliably in Safari anymore, despite it being one of the world's most widely used browsers. PDF export is unreliable. The PDF generated by Book Bolt contains rendering errors that are not visible inside the editor. Everything looks correct in Book Bolt, but once exported, unwanted lines and graphic artefacts appear in the final interior, making it unsuitable for publishing on Amazon. Problems appear after updates that were not there before. AI credits have disappeared in the past without explanation. Random glitches occur almost every week, making it difficult to complete projects. The biggest disappointment is the customer support. I have reported multiple bugs and technical issues over the past weeks and I still have not received a single reply. Not even an acknowledgement that my reports have been received. My internet connection is stable. Google, and every other website work perfectly while Book Bolt reports connection, authentication and server errors. I rely on Book Bolt for my publishing business, but instead of helping me work faster, it has recently become a source of constant delays and frustration. The software has great potential, but it feels like new features are released without sufficient testing. Paying customers should not be expected to discover critical bugs after every update. Until the software becomes stable and customer support starts responding to reported issues, I cannot recommend Book Bolt for professional use.

SCAM ALERT. Book Bolt is a SCAM. They charged me $9.99/month for exactly 24 months, totaling $239.76 for a service I NEVER used. It started as a free trial on a secondary bank account I don't monitor regularly, & silently converted to a paid subscription, and they just kept taking my money. When I asked for a goodwill refund due to zero usage, they refused. Twice. This is predatory and unethical. They deliberately design their free trial model knowing people may forget to cancel. DO NOT sign up. I even read another person's review on this platform saying they did cancel before the trial was up and Book Bolt continued to charge them anyway. You may never get your money back if you sign up for a free trial, whether you remember to cancel or not. Consider yourself warned.

Literaly the worst tool for creating books. Character consistency is non existent! You have to keep regenerating the images even with clear prompts. This eats up all your credits, and you are left with an unfinished book. Product research is ok.

Rip-off Subscription
Their software is adequate, there are much better and more principled companies out there, some of the software is rudimentary and it is not suitable for kindle books. They use affiliates to push their software, which is how I got suckered in. I stopped using them over 7 months ago, and just found out they had taken a yearly subscription out of my account just over a week ago. They sent no renewal notification email or invoice, I found out from my bank statement. When I approached them they refused to refund me saying I didn't contact them within 3 days of it being taken! Total rip-off, they take your money and run!

I am their affiliate marketer, as my account balance is due for withdrawal of my funds, they changed my account and created a new account for me, my funds was not inside anymore and I'm not the only one complaining about this. I contacted their customer support but they still went ahead to create another new account for me with different username and my funds was not still there too. This scam must come to an end. ---UPDATED --- After seeing your reply below, i know you guys are scammers already, you suspended me without doing anything wrong? where is your mail stating that i violate your affiliate teams? Why do you guys quickly registered another account for me without telling me what i did wrong? I use Book Bolt regularly for the creation of a number of my books. Their tools are easy to use and make the formatting and creation process great. The keyword and research tools are nice, but I do feel as though their accuracy is pretty suspect. If you compare it to other tools, you'll see that their results may show 95,000 searches monthly for a keyword when, in reality, it is more likely less than 1,000 per month.

Bookbolt is a scam - will not refund subscription
Bookbolt is a scam. I cancelled my account before the trail ran out and I was still charged for subscriptions. Stay away! Bookbolt are now saying I have 2 accounts. One was cancelled during the trail period but another one was apparently active. How can I have an active account with an e-mail that doesn't belong to me. Surely I would have to vet the e-mail address before an account is opened. I've asked several times for the IP tags, but they wouldn't supply it. They are not budging and would not refund my subscriptions. I'm sure other have had great service, but I would not trust this business and wouldn't sign up for their services again,

A legitimately useful tool for Amazone KDP book creation
Not sure what the 1-star reviews are going on about? Maybe competitors attempting to sabotage the site? I recently paid for the lifetime Pro subscription. Yes it's not cheap, but I know my investment will motivate me to do the work to get my money back out of it. So far, Bookbolt has worked as I had expected. It was easy to use and I've now created word search puzzles with solutions for 7 books. I didn't use the cover creation tools as I want more creative control and options, so I made my covers using Affinity Designer, but it was easy to import the completed cover art back into my BookBolt project and then save the entire thing as a print ready PDF. Oh, I should mention that the BookBolt cover template was super helpful as I was setting up my design template in Affinity Designer. All of the critical page dimensions, fold lines, bleed, and trim lines are clearly marked so my cover met all of the Kindle KDP requirements and perfectly matched the BookBolt dimensions when I imported it back in. Issues? There were a couple of times when I was working late at night that BookBolt took a LONG time to process and download a project's PDF. I suspect it was due to server maintenance or perhaps too many users on the platform at the same time? Also, I think the BookBolt team could improve the font size consistency and alignment of the way the word answers are generated below the word search puzzles. The puzzles themselves are perfect, but sometimes some answer words can be in a much larger font size than the other words, and their alignments are not as neat as I would prefer. It's all editable inside the document, but it is all manual and you have to eyeball things as there appear to be no guidelines or anything to snap to. It's a time consuming process that could be improved. Along those lines, it would be great if the exported pages would have editable text, but the PDFs are really just screen captured / PNG versions of the pages from your project. If I want to edit any text in the PDF outside of the BookBolt platform, I have to then OCR scan the pages using another third party tool, and most of those do NOT know how to handle text within the puzzles, so they all get messed up. All that being said, so far, despite a few glitches and some annoying editing issues, in my use, BookBolt has proven its ability to help me quickly create complete books for KDP. The interface is pretty user friendly and intuitive once you get the hang of it, and there are plenty of tutorials on their site and on YoutTube. I haven't even really made much use of the research tools, as I also have a BookBeam subscription, but if I didn't have any other tools, I think BookBolt would be a great single tool to enable me to start my publishing journey.

i really like the app and what…
i really like the app and what functions it has, i would like it to include more and more diverse games and to make it much easier to work on the book: to save anything you do faster, to be able to do more things on the page, easier - i know you probably won't like it but it should be more like the Canva app, which has instant response and a very friendly interface. Bookbolt has pluses that you don't find anywhere else, such as being able to put an illustration on all pages, or on certain pages (i would like to put the illustration and that's it, not delete the page completely, that's if I don't want to duplicate the page), i would like to be able to save a certain section of what I'm working on and here I mean saving, for example, pages 5-7. I like that I have all the benefits on the same platform, searching for the 100 best-selling books, searching for keywords, searching for information about a specific book, etc.

I also love the keyword and competitor research features. I haven't seen a platform that offers such extensive data on the KDP market.

Great for AMAZON KDP
Book Bolt is a great basic foundation platform to create interiors and book covers. You are able to use free stock images and resize them, with one click of the button. It automatically sizes up covers dimensions to your interior pages of your book. It has great software to create wordsearches etc. The bad bits: There is a limited help guide. You need to watch Youtubers who create books to do the basic. Its not like excel or word. You need to convert most of your outside interior pages onto PDF. But this is just like a screen shot of each page. Please SAVE each page or it loses it. The fonts are not in any category. Use CANVA to create the FONT etc then convert it to Book Bolt. Summary: Its not perfect but it gives you the basic platform to create interiors and does what it says on the tin....mostly. Used it for over a year and I would recommend BOOK BOLT.

The support and facilities are awesome
Having explored the water so to speak, I signed up for Bookbolt a little over a year ago and I honestly have to say that I'm delighted with what I have achieved so far. I am producing, on average, one mid-content book a month and they are selling well. Much better than I expected. The research facilities and support I have access to are second to none and the studio is an easy creative space to work in. If I have a problem which I can't solve by myself I can get help quickly, easily (and with kindness) by submitting a ticket or via the facebook group. OK, so it's not a get rich quick scheme! Sadly, as with most things in life, what you get out depends on what you put in. I spend a lot of time researching, then I spend more time researching then i go back and do a little more research. Then I may produce a book. I wouldn't want to work anywhere else!

BookBolt offers manuscript sizes that align with KDP rules. It's a great platform for puzzle generation too. They are open to upgrading and advancing their tools and communicate well with their subscribers. They are open to suggestions for improvement and they work on advancing the tools. They are getting better all the time. They are user friendly and the puzzle generators have improved quite a bit over the years and they also have a chats and tutorials. It's well worth the subscription.

I am less than a year into my book…
I am less than a year into my book publishing adventure. I feel lucky that I found Book Bolt in the beginning! It it so easy to create book covers and activity/puzzle books! I have even started creating my children's story books using this platform. The only downside is that I can't figure how to format for e-books using BB. However, since my mission is to get kids away from screens and to put physical books back into the hands of children, I'm not overly concerned about not being able to download e-books straight to Kindle Create. The one I always come back to
I've been using Book Bolt for several years now and it's absolutely invaluable to me. As an 'ADHDer' I get distracted easily by bright, shiny, things and every time I've 'cheated' on Book Bolt I've taken no time to come back again. I don't use any other platform to layout my book covers and they're always the perfect size. There are lots of tutorials and training calls to get the most out of BB too. Definitely a 5* experience.

DON'T FALL FOR THIS SCAM
Convinced by youtubers heavily promoting Bookbolt to subscribe but it really isn't a very good APP and the whole book creating thing on KDP is a scam where you will go to great lengths to create something to find you are dealing with an oversaturated market with not many buyers. BookBolt would be aware of this yet happily keep pushing their very limited product. Don't listen to those YT affiliates pushing this AND 'amazon kdp', it is all just a money making scam where the only one who misses out is the actual book creator. The one customer service experience (via email) with this company was unimpressive and a touch rude in tone.
