Harassment

I’ve asked Bambee multiple times over the past month to stop contacting me, yet I continue to receive multiple unsolicited calls every single day. I have an answering service, so each one of these calls costs me money. Liam Olsen has been completely unhelpful and unresponsive, and the outreach hasn’t stopped despite my clear requests. This is not just aggressive marketing — it’s harassment. If I’m experiencing this, I’m sure many others are too. This is unethical and predatory business behavior. Bambee should be ashamed of how they operate.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Bambee HR has been one of the most frustrating, incompetent service providers I’ve ever worked with—and I’ve been a customer for several years. Their support is essentially non-existent. Good luck trying to get a real human to respond to anything in a timely manner. When you do get someone, it's often a generic response or a redirect. The platform itself is painfully slow, glitchy, and nearly impossible to navigate efficiently. It feels like software that was half-built, then forgotten. **Worse—**and this is critical—they do not give you full access to your own employee data. I’ve had payroll runs missed, major glitches in pay calculations, and recurring issues that no one at Bambee ever seems able to explain, let alone fix. These aren’t minor inconveniences—they’re catastrophic for a business trying to take care of its people. The final straw? They abruptly discontinued both their Time & Attendance and Payroll services without offering any transition support. No plan. No warning. No help. Just “we’re done”—figure it out on your own. It was a complete abandonment of responsibility. To make matters worse, they have the audacity to raise prices while offering less and less. Every year, fewer features, more problems, higher bills. Their service is laughable—if it weren’t so damaging, it would be comical. I promise this isn’t just a case of one bad experience. This is a systemic failure of a company that markets itself as small-business-friendly and then leaves you high and dry when it matters most. Do yourself a favor: stay FAR away from Bambee HR. There are far better solutions out there that actually care about your business, your people, and your time.

This company has the worst customer…

This company has the worst customer service that I have ever dealt with. I signed and paid for a full 2 year contract for them to supply HR support, Payroll and Timeclock. Now 14 months in they are cancelling Payroll and Timeclock services. Also you can never get a live person on the phone when you have technical problems. Over the past 14 months the software has had bugs that do not allow you to perform tasks. When you open cases in regards to this they never get back to you. RUN FROM THIS COMPANY

Lack of Followup

I'm deeply disappointed with my experience at Bambee. After 3 weeks there has been no resolution to critical policy issues that are directly impacting our business operations. Initially, there was a serious mix-up involving a Bambee-created policy (which was declined) and our active external policy document. Despite multiple assurances from the HR manager that this issue would be promptly addressed, nothing has been done. Communication has been incredibly poor—emails go unanswered, updates are non-existent, and promises remain unfulfilled. Most troubling was the confusion regarding legal compliance: Bambee's policy incorrectly listed the legally mandated work hours for our staff, affecting proper reflection of benefits and compliance with state law.I was shocked when the only substantial response I received was pressure to upgrade my service plan.

I signed up for the $9 trial only to find out they only offer data storage for that amount. In the first 3 days I received over 20 phones from from a Business Manager trying to sell me on higher tier services. This company feels like a scam.

Not MY HR Manager, no, no, no

Company wanted to be my "HR Manager"--well, no I'm the HR Manager, they're just a third party assisting me...they don't seem to understand that critical difference. The price on the radio is not what they charged and my "HR Manager" kept getting fired (last one I really liked, too)...what kind of HR firm can't keep their people? And the forms...how much do you really have to pay (up the wazoo if you choose the "extras"--and those extras are still being charged on my credit card even though I cancelled...oh, and I had to get permission to cancel, too). Terrible management, perhaps new leadership could right this ship that is headed in a terrible direction currently (do an internal audit of just the policies, conduct focus groups, know your clients). A good idea being handled by poor management and it's too bad.

Lack of Communication and Delayed Refund Request

I am extremely frustrated with Bambee's lack of consistent communication during my time using the service. The team often responds in a disorganized manner, addressing issues that have already been resolved and leaving those that need attention unanswered. Additionally, I was surprised by the frequent rotation of employees, with a new manager assigned to my account nearly every week. Two months ago, I requested a refund due to these ongoing frustrations, yet it still hasn’t been processed. Despite repeated follow-ups, I continue to receive emails stating that the refund will take fifteen days.

Awful Service

Awful Service! We acquired their services in April 2020. and in April 2022 decided not to use their services anymore. They had no issues cancelling our membership. Now, in August 2024, they decided to refer our company to a collection agency claiming that the invoice from APRIL 2020 (the first invoice) was not paid. Thank god we DO HAVE PROOF and copies of everything, including bank statements. But this is Ridiculous.....besides, if we had really owed that, they would have continue providing services until April 2022. Right? PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. THIS PEOPLE ARE NO GOOD.

Bambee HR: Unreliable Service Followed by a Possible Scam After Cancellation

I stopped using Bambee HR in January 2023 with email confirmation, mainly because their services didn't live up to their promises. The responses were slow and often not to the point. When dealing with real employment issues, I found myself needing to consult an employment lawyer anyway. So, save your money for a real attorney! However, what really prompted me to write this review is what happened almost 21 months after quitting Bambee HR. I received an email from a so-called "BC SERVICES COMMERCIAL COLLECTION DIVISION" claiming I owed an annual fee of $1188. There’s no such website (no website is allowed), and the phone number provided (888-729-8172) seems fake. I suspect this is a scam, but I’m unsure where to report it. Please be aware and cautious!

Big Promises/Did Not Work AT ALL/Waiting for Refund

Heard about Bambee on a podcast and selected them as our HR system/vendor. The sales pitch was impressive, but the system did not work for us at all. Now we have been waiting months to receive a promised refund. We were disappointed in Bambee and just want our money back as they promised. UPDATE: After agreeing to a refund, they now have sent us to collection for $24k!!! I don't think they are bad people, they just couldn't handle an account our size and now they've lost track of the promises they made to us. We were disappointed the platform didn't work for us and now we a completely frustrated

The worst HR/Payroll software company

The worst HR/Payroll software company. Good luck with trying to reach someone. I submitted Payroll, then the system stated that Payroll was not submitted, and all of my employees would need to be paid with a check manually. I could not get a rep on the phone to discuss this issue. Do not waste your money on this company.

Super shady billing - BEWARE

Super shady. Year over year increases by thousands! They then offered me last years price, put it in writing for me, I agreed back in writing. Then they charged me their new full inflated price. I've been reaching out for 2 weeks and NO ONE gets back to me, not even my account manager. I'm thinking Bambee is about to go under, if they can' get back to me what are they going to be like in a HR situation. Save the frustration, call AMEX and just reverse the charges since they have charged me incorrectly.

HR amazing… Payroll needs help!

We have been with Bambee for 3 years and their HR is stellar. Crystal has been our HR administrator since the beginning and she is amazing! Our own only problem has been with payroll. It’s not easy to contact someone for help. We have been trying to get new deductions pulled out of employees checks and so far, it has not been successful. Small business needs to be walked through changes in payroll. We aren’t experts or we could just do it ourselves. If they could get this nailed down they could not be beat as the best for small business!

Their HR side is great. However their backend customer (the company that hired them) support is lacking and subpar. I am going back to QuickBooks. They know how to help business owners.

Following up on my last review

Following up on my last review. I gave the team a couple months to redo their proposal and a new manager just called me after I chased them about it to tell me the previous supervisor isn't with the company and that my dedicated HR Manager didn't take any action. Now, they're offering to start us over with yet another assigned person so we're back to the drawing board with nothing useful provided yet. The disappointment continues.
