I have an answering service, so each one of these calls costs me money. Liam Olsen has been completely unhelpful and unresponsive, and the outreach hasn’t stopped despite my clear requests. This is not just aggressive marketing — it’s harassment. If I’m experiencing this, I’m sure many others are too. This is unethical and predatory business behavior. Bambee should be ashamed of how they operate.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Bambee HR has been one of the most frustrating, incompetent service providers I’ve ever worked with—and I’ve been a customer for several years. Their support is essentially non-existent. Good luck trying to get a real human to respond to anything in a timely manner. When you do get someone, it's often a generic response or a redirect. The platform itself is painfully slow, glitchy, and nearly impossible to navigate efficiently. It feels like software that was half-built, then forgotten. **Worse—**and this is critical—they do not give you full access to your own employee data. I’ve had payroll runs missed, major glitches in pay calculations, and recurring issues that no one at Bambee ever seems able to explain, let alone fix. These aren’t minor inconveniences—they’re catastrophic for a business trying to take care of its people. The final straw? They abruptly discontinued both their Time & Attendance and Payroll services without offering any transition support. No plan. No warning. No help. Just “we’re done”—figure it out on your own. It was a complete abandonment of responsibility. To make matters worse, they have the audacity to raise prices while offering less and less. Every year, fewer features, more problems, higher bills. Their service is laughable—if it weren’t so damaging, it would be comical. I promise this isn’t just a case of one bad experience. This is a systemic failure of a company that markets itself as small-business-friendly and then leaves you high and dry when it matters most. Do yourself a favor: stay FAR away from Bambee HR. There are far better solutions out there that actually care about your business, your people, and your time.

This company has the worst customer…

This company has the worst customer service that I have ever dealt with. I signed and paid for a full 2 year contract for them to supply HR support, Payroll and Timeclock. Now 14 months in they are cancelling Payroll and Timeclock services. Also you can never get a live person on the phone when you have technical problems. Over the past 14 months the software has had bugs that do not allow you to perform tasks. When you open cases in regards to this they never get back to you. RUN FROM THIS COMPANY

Lack of Followup

I'm deeply disappointed with my experience at Bambee. After 3 weeks there has been no resolution to critical policy issues that are directly impacting our business operations. Initially, there was a serious mix-up involving a Bambee-created policy (which was declined) and our active external policy document. Despite multiple assurances from the HR manager that this issue would be promptly addressed, nothing has been done. Communication has been incredibly poor—emails go unanswered, updates are non-existent, and promises remain unfulfilled. Most troubling was the confusion regarding legal compliance: Bambee's policy incorrectly listed the legally mandated work hours for our staff, affecting proper reflection of benefits and compliance with state law.I was shocked when the only substantial response I received was pressure to upgrade my service plan.

I signed up for the $9 trial only to find out they only offer data storage for that amount. In the first 3 days I received over 20 phones from from a Business Manager trying to sell me on higher tier services. This company feels like a scam.

Not MY HR Manager, no, no, no

Company wanted to be my "HR Manager"--well, no I'm the HR Manager, they're just a third party assisting me...they don't seem to understand that critical difference. The price on the radio is not what they charged and my "HR Manager" kept getting fired (last one I really liked, too)...what kind of HR firm can't keep their people? And the forms...how much do you really have to pay (up the wazoo if you choose the "extras"--and those extras are still being charged on my credit card even though I cancelled...oh, and I had to get permission to cancel, too). Terrible management, perhaps new leadership could right this ship that is headed in a terrible direction currently (do an internal audit of just the policies, conduct focus groups, know your clients). A good idea being handled by poor management and it's too bad.

Lack of Communication and Delayed Refund Request

I am extremely frustrated with Bambee's lack of consistent communication during my time using the service. The team often responds in a disorganized manner, addressing issues that have already been resolved and leaving those that need attention unanswered. Additionally, I was surprised by the frequent rotation of employees, with a new manager assigned to my account nearly every week. Two months ago, I requested a refund due to these ongoing frustrations, yet it still hasn’t been processed. Despite repeated follow-ups, I continue to receive emails stating that the refund will take fifteen days.

Awful Service

Awful Service! We acquired their services in April 2020. and in April 2022 decided not to use their services anymore. They had no issues cancelling our membership. Now, in August 2024, they decided to refer our company to a collection agency claiming that the invoice from APRIL 2020 (the first invoice) was not paid. Thank god we DO HAVE PROOF and copies of everything, including bank statements. But this is Ridiculous.....besides, if we had really owed that, they would have continue providing services until April 2022. Right? PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. THIS PEOPLE ARE NO GOOD.

Bambee HR: Unreliable Service Followed by a Possible Scam After Cancellation

I stopped using Bambee HR in January 2023 with email confirmation, mainly because their services didn't live up to their promises. The responses were slow and often not to the point. When dealing with real employment issues, I found myself needing to consult an employment lawyer anyway. So, save your money for a real attorney! However, what really prompted me to write this review is what happened almost 21 months after quitting Bambee HR. I received an email from a so-called "BC SERVICES COMMERCIAL COLLECTION DIVISION" claiming I owed an annual fee of $1188. There’s no such website (no website is allowed), and the phone number provided (888-729-8172) seems fake. I suspect this is a scam, but I’m unsure where to report it. Please be aware and cautious!

Big Promises/Did Not Work AT ALL/Waiting for Refund

Heard about Bambee on a podcast and selected them as our HR system/vendor. The sales pitch was impressive, but the system did not work for us at all. Now we have been waiting months to receive a promised refund. We were disappointed in Bambee and just want our money back as they promised. UPDATE: After agreeing to a refund, they now have sent us to collection for $24k!!! I don't think they are bad people, they just couldn't handle an account our size and now they've lost track of the promises they made to us. We were disappointed the platform didn't work for us and now we a completely frustrated

The worst HR/Payroll software company

The worst HR/Payroll software company. Good luck with trying to reach someone. I submitted Payroll, then the system stated that Payroll was not submitted, and all of my employees would need to be paid with a check manually. I could not get a rep on the phone to discuss this issue. Do not waste your money on this company.

Super shady billing - BEWARE

Super shady. Year over year increases by thousands! They then offered me last years price, put it in writing for me, I agreed back in writing. Then they charged me their new full inflated price. I've been reaching out for 2 weeks and NO ONE gets back to me, not even my account manager. I'm thinking Bambee is about to go under, if they can' get back to me what are they going to be like in a HR situation. Save the frustration, call AMEX and just reverse the charges since they have charged me incorrectly.

HR amazing… Payroll needs help!

We have been with Bambee for 3 years and their HR is stellar. Crystal has been our HR administrator since the beginning and she is amazing! Our own only problem has been with payroll. It’s not easy to contact someone for help. We have been trying to get new deductions pulled out of employees checks and so far, it has not been successful. Small business needs to be walked through changes in payroll. We aren’t experts or we could just do it ourselves. If they could get this nailed down they could not be beat as the best for small business!

Subpar payroll team.

Their HR side is great. However their backend customer (the company that hired them) support is lacking and subpar. I am going back to QuickBooks. They know how to help business owners.

Following up on my last review

Following up on my last review. I gave the team a couple months to redo their proposal and a new manager just called me after I chased them about it to tell me the previous supervisor isn't with the company and that my dedicated HR Manager didn't take any action. Now, they're offering to start us over with yet another assigned person so we're back to the drawing board with nothing useful provided yet. The disappointment continues.

Everything was going fine until... We started with the HR services only. But then they convinced us to do payroll with them. ALL BAD from there. This started in Oct and it's now May and they still haven't fixed everything. Hours aren't' showing on pay stubs, 1099s and W2s were wrong. Can't call anyone you have to book an appointment online and hope they show up. They have email addresses but they autorespond with not monitored. This is a terrible failed experiment. No accountability. People are constantly leaving the company and you have to start over. My staff and I have spent countless hours trying to get these things fixed and they still say the don't know when it will be. Stay Away.

Nightmarish Experience

I joined the company 3 years back for a cofee shop with 6 employees. The first year I was charged $1.5k. The second year they charged me $3.5k for 20+ employees which we never had. The third year despite canceling the service they charged $6k. Tried to get in touch with Customer Service to get refunds / explanations etc and nothing ! Absolutely shocked and horrified with this treatment. Its been a nightmare. so if a small business please save your self and avoid them

I had the misfortune of engaging with Bambee for HR services for my business, and it turned into an absolute nightmare. Not only did they take over $7000 from our business bank account without our consent, but when promised a refund, they failed to deliver. Despite providing evidence from my bank showing the unauthorized transaction and numerous emails requesting the refund, Bambee shamelessly denied ever agreeing to reimburse us. Their excuse? Apparently, we didn't cancel in time, even though our bank records clearly prove otherwise. This level of incompetence and dishonesty is appalling. It's beyond frustrating to deal with a company that not only steals from its customers but also refuses to take responsibility for its actions. Save yourself the trouble and avoid Bambee at all costs. Their lack of ethics and disregard for their customers' financial well-being make them utterly untrustworthy. Don't make the same mistake I did. Steer clear of Bambee and protect your business from their deceptive practices. when we did work with them, we were told their turn around time for communication would be 24-28 hours which is false. We had several instances where it took them over a week to respond with reminders. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY!!! Take advice from a CEO who has been in business for 5 years. You will regret it.

Financing is Shady

I have been with Bambee for three years and through two significant price hikes. According to them, they changed their Terms and Conditions while I was in an already existing subscription that states under no circumstances will refunds be issued. How convenient for a company that initially priced their services out at 1k a year and raised fees for their original customers to over 3600 a year - while also removing the ability to contact HR professionals with ease and using a point system for policy services that previously took 1-2 weeks which now takes 4 weeks. Please be weary... as there are other companies that offer similar services and are way more reasonable.

I slipped through their cracks despite being a service oriented company.

My circumstances are a bit unique in that I have a seasonal business and I have a large influx of employees. I tried to be ready for this influx but I received little to now help from my support people. She even admitted that she dropped the ball. I of course take some responsibility for not fully understanding how the platform operates. Bambee prides itself on small businesses but with the onslaught of seasonal workers, I was lost in setting up the platform and tools. No one helped. I spent over $2200 for 6 months including special training services that were never provided. No one called me in the six months to check on me and why I was not utilizing one aspect of their service. Of course, any refund has been denied citing their agreement policy. Be careful before signing and paying for a service that you might not be able to take full advantage of.

Still have not received W2

My former employer used Bambee. Everything was fine until the company dissolved their US presence, and our accounts with Bambee no longer work. None of us have received W2 yet and it's April. The phone number they post on their website does not lead you to a live agent, ever, I've tried all combinations, the best I got to was "This voicemail is not monitored". We all tried to email them but no reply. Is Bambee still operating or in trouble? Please reply!

Terrible

My experience with Bambee HR started off great when Curtis was our customer representative. He was responsive and helpful, and he truly went above and beyond to assist us with any account issues. However, after Curtis left, the quality of service drastically declined. We experienced delayed responses, inexperienced new customer representatives, and multiple instances of overcharging. Seeing the company struggle so much after losing a valuable team member like Curtis is disappointing. Additionally, the frequent turnover of HR reps, with over 10 changes, added to the frustration. I wish they would consider rehiring Curtis as he was a shining star for our company. I would leave but they held my company hostage. Been with this company for over 2 years, we cannot wait to leave them

Poor Communication - Terrible Service

Bambee has been great until our company started to experience issues and Bambee was unhelpful. I have a contractor who needs an amended 1099-NEC Form. It is really difficult to reach someone; you HAVE to schedule a call in order to talk to SOMEONE. I scheduled a call for today, (3/14), and saw it was cancelled. The reason, contact the payroll specialist that work's with my HR team.It's extremely frustrating because my contractor is in a hurry to file their taxes. They are unable to because we need Bambee to make the corrections. Their service is terrible!

Unacceptable Lack of Communications & Support

As a long term customer with Bambee their support while rolling off has been extremely disappointing. The company has 100% ignored any communications and outreach in regards to a rolloff process. We've been unable to receive a simple response and guidance from the BambeeHR team on how we can pull our company data and documents from the system. There is no clear way to complete this on the system. We have sent countless emails since December and made several phone calls. Now we no longer have access to your account and it has gotten to the point where the lack of response is egregious and represents poor business practices. HR is a sensitive area for companies and the lack of attention to this doesn't represent a product that provides a safe and confidential service for your clients. Update: Finally after numerous attempts, the "help" service responded indicated that in order to retrieve our info, we had to pay for another month of service. No regard given to the fact that we'd been trying to coordinate a data migration prior to our service ending 2 months ago. Again, total disappointment in their customer treatment.

2024 1st quarter "report card"

My most recent HR manager has leaned into understanding my past experiences with the intent to make each engagement what I need and expect. The first few experiences were inconsistent at best and left me on the fence with respect to leaving. by establishing mutually agreed upon service requirements, and her meeting those requests, I'm confident in remaining a client in the foreseeable future. I look forward to an additional opportunity to complete a follow up review later this year...if asked.

Bambee HR—Unresponsive & High Turnover

Bambee HR's consistent unresponsiveness and lack of communication regarding payroll and onboarding issues have caused significant issues. For the two years I've been a client, service has always been delayed and confused due to the high turnover—8 HR reps in two years! But the last straw was a recent incident of switching credit cards for the annual payment. After they took my payment in Dec./Jan., an employee was notified that he couldn't receive his tax information because I "switched payroll providers!" I call and am left on hold for hours, like I don't have anything at all to do. If I call another line, I'm referred to their online chat where I see multiple messages FROM ME trying to get in touch with them to figure out what's going on. Meanwhile, I'm literally onboarding and that's not working either. This is the worst service I've had since I was with Comcast.

The Bambee staff has been great on all aspects of the HR process. From onboarding a new hire, required documents to be compliant in my state (CA), and quick communication. I would highly recommend the HR service they provide.

Bambee says "Put your HR on AutoPilot"... and then check back for an answer in 11 or 20 days.

In December 2023 I get a cold-call from a Bambee sales rep. "Why yes, I'm just starting up a business. It's just me right now, but I expect 3 staff by April and 6 by July." And so I get set up at their lentry level service. Simple questions like... "do I need to fill out an I-9 for this guy, he's a sole-member LLC?" take 11 days before a "Dedicated Bambee HR" person would respond. I must be lucky, I have 4 "dedicated" HR Managers. Other questions went 20 days, 10 days, 12 days, and so on before anyone would answer. Perhaps the sales guy sold me a service that Bambee wasn't ready to support? I could accept that as an answer, but all I ever got was promises, that went unfilfilled. I love the concept, I liked the people I spoke to, the execution has been abysmal though.

Charging me after canceling multiple times...

I cancelled my subscription multiple times over 12 months ago. Spoken with account managers and customer service. They have been charging me without my permission for over 12 months. I have to report to my bank to prevent Bambee from continuing to charge our business. Major red flags. Incredibly disorganized and unprofessional. Would never recommend to anyone.

My experience at Bambee HR has been great thus far. I run a small business in San Diego and as you may know, there are lots of rules in California, and then San Diego County adds its own level of complexity. Navigating conversation with team members along with having a sounding board on how your delivery is given is key. I feel that my HR Rep helps me in understanding the intricate path I need to traverse as an owner.

Wrong advice, costing a lawsuit

They gave me the wrong advice which may cause me a lawsuit. They would give me conflicting info depending on who I spoke with. They have a revolving door of HR managers. DO NOT waste your money! Find a local company familiar with local laws. I used their services for years and it was the biggest mistake for my company.

DONT SIGN UP FOR A MULTI-YEAR CONTRACT

Signed up for a two-year contract. Within the first month, had an almost entirely new team. Found many interactions to be less than professional - for example: had multiple Zoom calls where the team member used a free Zoom account so that our call was shut down within 30 minutes - whether we were done or not. Seemed very unprofessional. Then, had issues getting payroll set up and the company couldn't get our first payroll to run. We ended up going back to our old payroll system to get checks out on time to our staff. After the payroll debacle, we asked to cancel. We signed up on December 7th, with the contract supposedly going into effect January 1. On February 1 we asked to cancel and were told no refund. We asked to please consider a partial refund as our faith in the company's ability to meet our needs was severely compromised by the experience with payroll and we didn't want to chance doing anything else with them. They wouldn't even consider that. I could understand if we had been using them for several months and then wanted to cancel, but we had barely been with them for one month. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone.

Something must have changed in the management of this company, clearly there have been positive reviews, and then you see suddenly the many, many reviews that are like the one I am leaving now. I was referred to Bambee by a business coach for some personnel issues. I signed up for $1 on a 7 day trial. On the 5th day I received an email saying my account would be "automatically upgraded" that next day (day 6). I never read in the initial trial sign up that this would lead to a $4069 withdrawal from my account. It is important to note that I received MANY emails from them once I signed up, so it was not unusual to see them in my inbox- complete your account, you haven't completed your account, ect. I called on that 6th day, voice mail. Emailed, no response. The next thing I know, $4069 (a number I never consented to) was taken out of my business checking account. I called several more times, emailed and finally got "N" on 12/22. "N" had very little to say, other than someone would get back to me about the "decision" to refund my money. I did receive an email saying "we are sorry to see you go" so my "membership"' was canceled. I have continued to call and email and it is VERY difficult to get a person. They have voicemail that you are prompted to that says "this mailbox is not monitored". Today, after emailing again and calling again I received this: Hey again, I do apologize but the refund request was denied by management and our Billing team. I am truly sorry I was unable to help. This is not a real company. No real company does business this way. DO NOT give them $31, $1 or even $.05. They will dip back in and take thousands under the premise of having sent you a warning email as a legal loop hole to keep your money. If I did business this way I would be run out of town and loose everything. This is a SCAM. Don't fall for their canned responses to these reviews, either. They are pathetic attempts to diminish their unethical business practices and nonexistent customer service.

Ok Product, Terrible Customer Service

I would say the product seams good. They have a nice app. The customer service is pretty bad. If you have an issue, good luck getting ahold of someone. I paid for 6 months but cancelled because I could never get my success manager on the phone or respond to emails. My HR manager was the same. I tried to access documents after I cancelled, but had 2 months left on my subscription, and they had terminated my account even though they said I'd be able to access anything. No word from my success manager when I cancelled asking what they could do better.

Terrible company

Terrible company. They started out good. Their cost increased significantly. Once they charged me 12k for the year they totally stopped supporting my team. Impossible to get a hold of and extremely unresponsive super disappointed to have wasted so much money that I don’t have to waste.

When you call you are put into a voicemail, emails don't get any kind of ticket or confirmation of receipt - let alone a response - the calendlys show zero availability to book a call (or the links don't function), and we haven't received any response to the chat/messaging feature from the supposedly 'always on call' reps. I'm at my wits end and having to research another provider.

7 Day Trial Period Cancellation/Refund

During my 7 day trial review I informed the HR rep that we could not afford the $2999.00 annual lump sum, I mistakenly miss-read it and thought it read $29.99 per month. This was all the week of Thanksgiving 2023. Well the trial ended Nov 11-26 I could not find how to cancel it on that day. I called Monday morning Nov 27th as soon as they opened and spoke with Tay. Tay then explained how to cancel the account. I was then informed that she could not guarantee the cancellation request would be honored. I did not use any services during this trial period. However I have repeatedly called and ask for a supervisor with no return call to date. Laurina informed me that she went back and listened to the call with myself and her but said that I did not confirm the cancellation because I told her that I would speak with my board and get back with her. Now it seems they are playing on words instead of good ethics. The morale to the story I informed you that we could not afford it within the 7 day trial period, you were closed on a Sunday so no one was there to assist me with my problem and I DID NOT use your service at ALL during the trial period! It is really sad that I had to write a review as such and your employees could not resolve the issue before it arrived to this point. I have filed a BBB formal complaint!

Not a great start - can't get a response.

We are searching for a new payroll company and came across Bambee. Called their 844-989-4001 number for new business & was on hold 15 minutes. Then, a recording came on and said leave a message. My message was cut off and when we called back, the line has been busy. No thanks. First thing we look for is getting through to a human at the company we want to get into a relationship with. AND we don't want to start a "$1 trial" by giving all our contact info to them. They can't answer the phone.

Awful platform, expensive, non-responsive

We were with Bambee for a little over a year. We loved Sierra, our HR rep. But that's it. The platform is glitchy. When we would add new team members, the link never worked for them to log in. It took days for support to get back to us. Then the prices went through the roof. Having policies all in one place is great, but this could easily be accomplished via docusign for a fraction of the cost. Our HR rep was great, but for the amount we were paying it would be better to just hire a freelance HR rep. The final straw was that we cancelled our plan and they continued to charge us. This seems to be a very poorly run company and while I used to recommend to others, I can no longer do that.

Worthless service, provides zero value

Worthless service provides zero value which is why we didn’t use them… 1 star review For shady billing / cancellation practices. I hadn’t used them for 4 years but this was on auto bill. And they switched my plan to $3408 from $99 a month initially!? How is this legal and how do expect to build a good reputation this way? The reason I’m leaving a review is because of how the cancellation process was handled… When I called in and voiced my concerns the gentleman I spoke with Joseph Meily agreed that I hadn’t used the account in years and said ok we’ll get this cancelled since you haven’t been using it and will issue a refund. I saw no refund for over a week and after several follow up emails weren’t returned I had to dispute the transaction directly with my bank, and now I am getting the runaround there and when I called into Bambee directly they said “I’m sorry sir you disputed the transaction with your bank it’s up to the bank now”. Their service provided zero value and vague guidance which is why we don’t use them and when I realized we were charged for 4 YEARS I tried to cancel once I saw a random $3408 charge come through. Terrible customer service and worthless product.

Ethan Jaffe was so humble and open to constructive criticism from our initial zoom meeting. We established a bond and from that moment on we became sorta like friends. He was great with following-up to ensure we could sign up at a great cost and was very patient with his approach, leading to a final engagement resulting in us becoming a new customer!

Unusable Product From A Disorganized Company

Their product is dated, filled with bugs and impossible to use. After the trial period it is impossible to get service from a human. Their knowledge of HR is limited and a quick Google search shows the company has multiple lawsuits from their own employees. This company can't even protect itself let alone its customers. Wish I had done my research before signing up. During our free trial we had sales and customer service reaching out weekly to ensure we were able to onboard our employees and asking for Trustpilot reviews. After we started paying, the outreach stopped. We were left with a buggy product, no phone app, and no one to respond to us. This product is all smoke and mirrors. Be wary of companies that ask for reviews before they provide service. Do not waste your time or your money.

6/7/23: Since I last wrote, Chris from customer service was able to get someone to provide the documentation I needed to move forward with ADP. I left 2 stars for the HR dept which was pretty great but with all the mishaps, and errors made, and the effort it took for me to rectify their mistakes with payroll, I think 2 is being generous. Chris was great at getting everything done but it took a while to get to her. Recommend HR but do not touch Payroll. 5/19/23: Since I last wrote, ADP has been trying to get the necessary paperwork from Bambee for the 1st quarter in which I ran payroll with Bambee and they haven't submitted it nor have they responded to my emails. I contacted Chris from the response below and no answer as of yet. I filed a BBB complaint today hoping I will get a response that way. **************************************************** I wish I had never signed up to use Bambee for payroll. We had so many errors. My staff had more money deducted than was necessary due to BAMBEE errors. It took forever to get them corrected and reimbursed. They DO NOT know the payroll business at all. DO NOT USE them for payroll. I just switched to ADP and ADP found additional errors in the files they got from Bambee. When I canceled, it had an option to pay $9/month to keep access to our records. I just logged on and everything is gone!! I was going to recommend them for Human Resources but not anymore. They are on California time and do not have 24-hour staff to handle customers in other time zones. It is just a mess. My own fault for not checking reviews first. The sales staff talk a great talk saying they have former ADP employees working for them. They probably got fired from ADP. DO NOT USE BAMBEE! You have been warned.

I liked that I was getting policies made and it was easier for me to have those drafted. However, I found the pricing to be not honest and not transparent. I didn't get any notification or email or anything to say that my plan was no longer $99 because I had multiple employees. Maybe If they just consulted that would be great but it was more expensive than I anticipated and I had to cancel the service.

A hot mess

Bambee is a place where they hire smart people and then tell them what to do. Incredibly immature leadership that has no experience chaotic work and responsibilities - no between work and life balance - a CEO full of ego - a product that is really, really bad (if you’re a consumer, don’t purchase it. It’ll -do you more harm than good) - no career tracks - promotions based on favoritism or because they need to backfill a position since a person left/because they’re afraid you might leave - constant fear of job security And if you enjoy doing work, undoing work, redoing work, undoing work, and redoing it then apply here! Otherwise, don’t bother as you’ll most likely be terminated or want to quit shortly thereafter. The COO has 0 years of experience in ops, the CEO is super flighty and blames others, the CPO is outdated and believes HR is for the company, not for the employees. That should speak volumes. The product is also really bad. I have to constantly calm customers down because the platform has so many bugs and issues. Honestly if you're a potential customer, don't bother. We don't offer nearly as much as our sales team says we do. And the reviews you'll read about us are all incentivized. You'll notice we have a bunch of 5 star and 1 star reviews..... definitely suss. And good luck getting a refund. We make the process extra difficult so we can keep your money.

Please use Bambee for all your HR needs. They are fantastic and make it easy to comply with federal and state regulations. They have great customer support and you can typically always get them on the phone. UPDATE May 9th, 2023 Bambee customer support is fantastic. Their platform is great as well. We honestly had no real issue with them until recently. Read below for full details. Because of our original review, they replied with a pretty generic message to contact them. So we did, not expecting anything. Within minutes we had a phone call from Chris. She spoke with us and was baffled why our situation had escalated this far. She immediately took care of the 30% discount they had already agreed to and added an additional 10%. Thank you, Chris. For anyone considering whether or not to use Bambee, please do. Our original 1-star review was merely because of an isolated issue. Prior to this, we had zero issues. ORIGINAL May 8th, 2023 As a small business and 100% disabled veteran-owned company, we used Bambee for our HR needs, they were great at first, but after renewal, it went up 150%. How is that even legal? We sent emails back and forth to cancel. They offered a 30% discount not to cancel, we decided to do it and then to our surprise they charged us the full amount. After we sent an email stating we would take the 30%. They are cheating clients and then telling them they cannot cancel for a refund. Then tell me to read the renewal I signed, but yet I could not find the contract on the site. I had to send a message to get a copy of it. Very frustrating dealing with customer service, they are not client friendly if I am renewing, why not give me the discount automatically? Beware and read everything!!

Absolute nightmare

Absolute nightmare. The platform is full of glitches which make it impossible to complete payroll and onboarding tasks without the help of a Bambee representative over chat or the phone. When we were adding new employees in states that we have not employed people in before, they failed to give us guidance and adequate information. Bambee reps had to add employees for us and randomly picked where new employees worked without asking us. So we have California employees registered as working in Florida and signing flordia paperwork when in fact they are in CA. Paying CA withholdings and not the correct state tax bureau. Our Bambee rep called and told us Bambee was responsible for the “miscommunications” but then a few hours later it got escalated and they tried to brush it under the rug. They won’t even explain why and how they made these mistakes. Do not use this company. It’s packaged up nicely but internally it’s terrible.

First you see false advertising. You don’t get an HR manager you get shared coaching with God knows how many other companies. Then the next lie $99 per month. Well that is if you don’t have employees. As you get more employees the price doubles and triples. With only one employee I was paying $199. I tried at least twice to set up appointments with my designated HR person but our schedules never aligned. When the time came to dismiss my only employee, a bot asked various questions and told me yes or no (I changed the answers twice to see what the bot would say), and the bot told Me I could go ahead and dismiss the employee.

Likely the worst experience I could have had. We signed up and immediately had a meeting scheduled. Instead of asking about our needs, this meeting was a sales call to upsell us on something we already purchased. We then asked to have Bambee handle our employee handbook and advise what policies we would need. This was never answered. A request for a policy was ignored for a month, then a new manager signed on and advised she would get it done right away. No action for a further two weeks and no communication. When then cancelled.

Resignation gone bad

Jose called me twice because I didn’t pick up the first call even on a holiday when I was in full panic from an employee threatening to “seek legal action” from a resignation gone bad. He was prompt, professional, but also so real and down to earth with me and the experience. He went above and beyond for me. THIS IS WHY I HAVE AN HR COMPANY. Bambee and Jose exceed my expectations over and over again. I honestly never knew what I wasn’t getting until I actually had it with Bambee!

Bambee is the worst HR and payroll…

Bambee is the worst HR and payroll company that you could sign up for. Don’t bother signing up for them unless you like confusion and chaos in your business. HR 1. I was sent to The Texas Workforce Comission by employees twice during my time as their customer. They couldn’t assist me with fighting back when both employees were never actually fired. I had to seek additional legal counsel to fight both cases. 2. They will give you a new payroll manager every month. You’ll have to update the new manager on your business etc. 3. When you do have an issue the payroll manager is never available via phone, you’ll have to massage on the platform in order to communicate with whoever is available. Payroll 1. I cancelled in the middle of the year when I downsized and no longer had employees. Bambee did not inform me that they wouldn’t file taxes for quarters 1 and 2. When I called to inquire they lied and said they would escalate the claim. When it took to long I called back and they informed me that because I cancelled in the middle of the year they would not file my taxes and I should just find someone else to do it. Do yourself a favor by not signing up for their services. I honestly don’t know how they’ve gotten this far as a company.

Edited Review: After my poor review below out of frustration for not being able to resolve our issues, Chris from customer service reached out immediately and was able to quickly and efficiently process our requested refund. As I expressed to Chris, I still have high hopes that Bambee can resolve their "growing pains" and move forward with much better customer communication as I think they fill an important niche for small businesses - especially in California. And I believe they have changed their training set up so that they now have direct access to the needed information, so that's a step in the right direction. I would have preferred to resolve this without resorting to social media pressure, but I was very happy with Chris's response and quick handling of the problem. Original Review: I had such high hopes for Bambee - it seemed like they had found a great niche to provide a needed service to small business owners. I hung in there in spite of the cumbersome communication system - uploading messages and waiting for replies...having my messages closed and marked resolved when they were anything but. The final nail in the coffin for us after many frustrations was their much-hyped training for employees. Incomplete or incorrect information regarding who had completed training - no direct access to the information. Waiting for emailed reports with inaccurate information, waiting for responses from supervisors - who ALSO HAD NO DIRECT ACCESS to the needed information. No account information to show which employees we had been charged for for training. Frustration, frustration, frustration. And then we hear that they have decided to put a limit on the number of "policies" a company can have on their onboarding system - their "solution" to an employee handbook. When we cancelled, after being encouraged to pay for a year in advance to save money - they refused to refund the remainder of the year - over 8 months! Turns out the "small print" says no refunds AND requires arbitration instead of being able to just file a small claims suit. Still sad that a company with so much potential hasn't been able to live up to it. Sure would like to have all that money back...but making the switch to Paychex HR Essentials has given me my life back! They are awesome!

A good experience so far

A good experience so far. We're a small family business with 4 employees, so it doesn't make sense to have a dedicated HR person, which means as the owner, I have to wear many hats. But HR is hard, especially in CA, and I was always worried about getting something wrong that would ruin the business. With Bambee, I like that I can call in at any time to get help with a wide range of questions. The "dedicated HR specialist" does change relatively often, but I've had no problem with the call queue. We added Payroll once we saw the cost was reasonable and the interface was simple to use. No regrets so far!

I've been with Bambee for almost a year. The HR side is awesome and very responsive. The Payroll side is awful, slow to contact me, and most times unresponsive. I'm taking my business elsewhere since my business doesn't matter.

Bambee straight stole our money

Bambee straight stole our money. We found the service useless and canceled. We have the email confirmation of the cancellation. Bambee then charged us for another year ($2000) one year after we signed up. I reached out to support and provided the email in which Bambee acknowledged the cancelation. They then said that they called us and we opted to continue the service which is a complete lie. We had no communication with Bambee after canceling. I asked them to provide any evidence that we opted to keep the service (email, call transcript, anything). They refused. This company literally stole from us, I imagine they will do the same to you.

I love the HR program and love my HR manager . I just have had issues with lack of response from payroll. Terrible Service, HR Rep is MIA when needed most

The quality of service has gone downhill since we signed up nearly two years ago. Our HR rep is nowhere to be found, and Bambee customer support is unresponsive to our emails. We've waited six weeks for simple changes to an HR policy, and have spent hours trying to get them to provide basic service. Even after promising they'd get the issue resolved, they disappeared on us leaving us to fend for ourselves. Meanwhile, our company operations are limited as a result. Not what you'd expect from a company you pay to manage HR. Separately, we found that they added additional fees to our subscription without disclosing it. Bambee seems to reply to every review here asking unhappy customers to email them at their help@ email address. Well, we've already done that a number of times and they are MIA. Perhaps they should spend less money on reputation management, and more on serving their customers.

Using Bambee has really been an easy experience. Lots of great information and a great response time. We aren't big enough yet to have a full time HR person but we don't feel exposed since we have help from Bambee. Our HR Manager Natalie has been amazing! she responds quickly and always seems to have the right answer for us.

Bambee has been ok. They have made many abrupt changes this past year some I hope are good but yet to see. Replies have been inconsistent and a few haven't been answered and we've had to reach out again to double check on questions. Our account manager has been good overall.
