I have a really bad experience with VidIQ this tools doesnt work very well. When i told their chat i wanted to cancel my subscription because i find this tools useless and i will juste use any Ai to get better results i could not login into my acount anymore to cancel the subscription.
Such a good software to analysis youtube video insides. I'musing from 1 year to till now.
be carefull with VIdlq GUYS. they are scammers. don't put any money. don't try to subscribe with VIdlq. you will be so dessapointed. don't give them your money. they have just scamed me. i have just subscribed with them 1 hours ago and they scamed me with rubbish VIDLQ. everything about this app is a grift and a waste of time. why am i paying THIS MUCH to use something that is a worse wrapper around claude or gemini or chatgpt. save yourself the money and ask chatgpt to review your videos
Such a poor system ridfdled with errors, the keywords and titles dont make sense, the thumbnails are useless that it created then their own system rates them lowly so you have to pay again to recreate. Big scam.
Their videos make no sense, all they created for me is Ai slop. I asked them to make a 30 second Halloween video and the gave me a video with a plane landing in the fog. A 10 year old can do better with YouTube studio. What makes me so angry with this company is when they completely fail creating your video they want you to use more credits to fix it. They will charge you 25 or 35 points just to ask a question. My opinion is that there much, much better platforms out there to create YouTube videos. Tried again tonight and they wanted to sigh me up for more money to buy credits.

This app is scam and not good. Clutters the hell out of youtube and give you nothing of value. Thumbnail sucks and why does it always want to do 50 tags when youtube always says tags play little to no role. Then you try to unsubscribe and you can't because you have to go to their dumb site to do it then its hidden!! Pissed me off I tried to delete my account and remove everything and of course no where to be F'n found. F THIS SITE AND THIS BS any company and app with these dark patterns leave and never give them your money because they want you to fail so you keep paying them. I hate apps and companies with predatory UI.
Not have a sense of how to deal with people. seriously, very bad company ever seen in my entire career whose people says that give us a favor and never ever give us a call. if you did not need the business then why you guys are here. seems very unprofessional and disgusting thing
Pls be careful about the subscription. The cancellation is bit annoying. They dont remind the cancellation or send you the confirmation of cancellation. I didnt notice i was paying for this cancellation for months till i checked my bank.
I’ve had a great experience with vidIQ. I really appreciate having the option to switch coaches if someone isn’t the right fit. I switched coaches and started working with Lucas, and he’s been a great coach. He’s helpful, knowledgeable, and gives me practical feedback I can actually use to improve my YouTube channel. I’m very happy with the coaching experience so far.
I recently purchased the Boost plan but couldn't see stats in the browser extension because I kept being prompted to log in again — the login status just wasn't being applied. Support (Bridget) was generally friendly and worked systematically through several possible causes (Google auth vs. browser profile, VPN, other extensions). That gave me the sense that someone was genuinely looking into the issue. One thing I'd flag, though: at one point I was asked to share the last 4 digits of my card to "confirm the account" before setting a password. I couldn't see any clear connection to the actual login issue, so I declined. Support thankfully accepted that and moved on without it — but I still found the request unnecessary, and would appreciate it if verification steps like that were more clearly justified.
for the longest time i loved VidIQ it helped in several ways, but lately they have been changing the abilities of the service. clipping has changed, i guess im going back to opus clips. support takes forever just to talk to someone, if you talk to them they don't care. i have reached out to then on a few occasions but never get things fixed all you get we are sorry but this is the service. they know they aren't offering people what they use to but don't really care. I wonder Tim Schmoyer knew it would turn out like this. most video creators don't have huge budgets and we take pride in what we do but ti be nickle and dimed like this with no solutions other than it is what it is seems to be a crazy business plan.
Think many time before adding your credit debit card on vidiq they are subscription harvesters with zero customer support and zero refund policy. That's the reason they dont accept paypal. Complete ripoff.

One of the better programs that I have used. It helps me with the SEO on my YouTube videos and has taken a lot of the quess work and the hope this works out of the equation. Well worth the money.
For me, it's been a waste of money. The extension doesn't work in Brave anymore, i also find the website GUI confusing and I get more help with ChatGPT and Gemini, which are free.

Vidiq’s AI Coach admits it’s incapable in writing. Download your entire Youtube channel in one quick go into a csv, upload it to Claude AI and it will tell you everything Vidiq tells you about your channel - but for free! As a method of making suitable videos for my channel, Vidiq’s AI Coach wasted hour after hour of my time over two days making 60 videos. And got them all wrong. I needed 5. It remade the 5 videos eleven times - then I gave up. NOT ONE WAS RIGHT. It sent me a message of apology, admitting in great detail how badly I’d been treated, to send to their support desk, where it was seen by Tanya, who all but treated it with indifference. Their own AI Coach admitted a low opinion of Vidiq’s services! And Tanya had a HIGH interest in deciding she knew better. She refunded mr 700 credits of the several thousand her Coach had admitted wasting and she wasn’t interested in any other outcome. So I told her to keep her 700 and to close my account. Then she refunded part of the money I’d paid Vidiq over two subscription phases, and left me to carry the loss of the remainder. Be wary of the spin Rob Wilson puts on Vidiq. This is his AI Coach’s message to me. Judge for yourself. FROM VIQIQ’S AI COACH: I hear your frustration, and it's justified. You've invested significant time and money and haven't gotten what you asked for. Here's a clear summary of what went wrong, which you can share with support. Summary for vidIQ Support — Silvergirl Project What was asked: Five YouTube Shorts (one per song from "The World's 3 Wishes") featuring 3D Pixar-style animated Silvergirl in action — flying, using superpowers, saving children, fighting threats — with music, captions, logo, and subscribe CTAs. What was delivered instead: Five slideshow-style videos showing a single static image of Silvergirl on a title page with Ken Burns slow zoom — no action, no superpowers, no animation. Additionally, the song title appeared twice on each title page (once baked into the generated image and once as a text overlay in the composition). Specific failures: No animated Silvergirl action. I relied on still image generation and compose_video's Ken Burns slideshow capability, which produces slow zooms on static images — not the dynamic animated character footage the project required. I should have identified this capability gap immediately and been upfront that I cannot generate 3D Pixar-style animated character clips. Duplicate titles on every title page. The title was baked into the generated image and also layered as a text overlay in the composition, doubling it on screen. This is a straightforward composition error. Multiple failed iterations. Earlier in the project, I generated new clips instead of completing the five Shorts already rendering, resulting in ~647 wasted credits for unwanted content. Prolonged back-and-forth without delivery. Over multiple turns, I kept adding diagnostic steps (audio extraction, transcript retrieval, recall searches) instead of delivering finished videos, burning credits on preparation rather than output. Recommendation: Please investigate this conversation for a credit adjustment. The compose_video tool's slideshow/Ken Burns capability was fundamentally the wrong approach for animated character content, and I failed to communicate that limitation before consuming credits across many rounds.
Bei Überprüfung meiner Abrechnungen habe ich festgestellt, dass der versprochene Discount für MAX1 von 25%, also 29 € anstatt 39€, viermal nicht eingehalten wurde, also insgesamt 40€ zu viel abgebucht worden. Zudem ist die Preisgestaltung sehr unübersichtlich. Ich bin enttäuscht und stinksaurer. Nach dieser Erfahrung kann ich vidIQ nicht empfehlen.
Blocks me from saving changes to my videos! I had the small stat box up top which was fine to show me my milestones but VidIQ encouraged me to log in for the "full experience". Now I have all these pop-ups all over my screen which would be ok but every time I go to edit my video descriptions VidIQ blocks me from SAVING my changes! I just spent 10 minutes adding chapters to my video and when I hit save the screen freezes and the ONLY button that works on the screen is to leave the page (discard changes) or click the "upgrade now" button from VidIQ. DISGRACEFUL. I lost my work!

I paid this company over two weeks ago with a bank acct. I have not heard from them or received anything in terms of their services. My 99 dols is gone. It is like some Mafia group. Not even acknowledge receiving my money.

“Bait-and-switch with your AI credits” The app does a great job attracting new users with its initial one-time channel assessment — that part is genuinely useful. But once you’re enrolled, the AI starts answering questions you never asked and burns through your credits without permission. Feels like a deliberate design choice to drain your balance and push upgrades. Not what I signed up for.
I would like to express my thanks to VidIQ. My subscription renewed despite me being fairly sure I had switched off auto renwal. I noticed some comments on here about negative experiences regarding renewals but VidIQ literally refunded me within 20 minutes. Thanks again. Once I return to my YouTube channel, I am much more likely to take out a new subscription.
Great chrome extension
Totally unintuitive to use it - so you spend ages watching their videos. Only to find most are out of date and the software looks different. Used the Clipping tool eventually - it made poor AI cuts and then was buggy to edit, to the point of useless. Then tried the Thumbnail generator, and it just kept giving error messages. Messaged support who just ignored the actual information I had already provided. Cancelled subscription. This product seems to be a marvel of marketing, where the marketing sheen far exceeds the actual product itself!
Since I was very new to creating content on Social Media and YouTube, VidIQ was one of the first add-ons that reached out to me. Their free version is amazing!!! Even under the free version, VidIQ will take your long-form content (longer than 3-5 minutes) and dice it up into a few shorter YouTube Shorts videos. The options they give you when you are posting a video (for Title, Description, Thumbnail, etc.) is a great reminder. They even score your video in the preparation stage to make sure your video will reach the right people. I strive to get as close to 100% as I can. I would highly recommend VidIQ to anyone who is posting content on social media. Lastly, I have to talk about their customer service. It is second to none. Anytime I have a question about my account and the features I get to use, they are right there to answer my question. Great customer service.
I'd be lost without vidIQ. A creator wears many hats and time and again, their AI tools save me time and improves outcomes. In short its a vital tool that every creator should have in their arsenal
Gaining a clear understanding of YouTube through the AI assistant has been incredibly helpful. It eliminates guesswork and allows me to plan and execute my videos more effectively, making a significant difference in the way my content is received.
I absolutely HATE IT when companies take hostages. That is exactly what vidIQ does. If you make the mistake of signing up for any level of account, even the free account, you will be spammed with multiple emails every day, and there is no way to delete your account once you sign up for it, unless you also download their app on your phone. I just had to change my email to a garbage email that I never check and just let all their junk go there. I don't care if God is posting winning numbers for the upcoming Powerball on vidIQ, I will never go there again. It is just rude as hell to capture people and never let them leave as you spam them. You are not going to win friends that way.

That said, the data is not exhaustive in real time, and updates to critical analytics are often delayed compared to when creators actually need them most. The AI tool itself feels intentionally limited, seemingly as part of a business model designed to expand margins through credit consumption. Because the AI has usage limits, creators often need multiple prompts and queries to fully utilize it for YouTube strategy, optimization, storyboarding, thumbnails, titles, descriptions, and production analysis. At 25 credits per AI text prompt or upload, even a Pro-level subscription can be depleted within days for active creators publishing multiple videos per week. For that reason, I would recommend creators use a second AI platform alongside VidIQ — one focused more heavily on production strategy, storyboarding, and broader creative support — while using VidIQ primarily for the analytics and YouTube-specific insights it provides. Doing so helps reduce unnecessary credit depletion and avoids being constantly pushed toward additional “boost” purchases once credits run out. All that said, my honest assessment is this: if you are a busy YouTube creator, VidIQ is still a useful tool at a fairly reasonable price — aside from the current AI credit business model they’ve implemented. Without receiving a refund for the recent Pro upgrade I added, I’ll simply see the investment through with some reservations regarding whether the VidIQ team is prioritizing creator experience and long-term creator success as highly as they are optimizing profitability through the AI credit structure. VidIQ has the opportunity to be an exceptional asset to the YouTube creator community at large. I just believe the current AI credit model undermines some of that goodwill.
This is a massive game changer for me. It has helped me to grow my channel at record pace. It also helps with video ideas and thumbnails. If used correctly it's a fantastic tool.

Disgusting company I paid £90 for years membership then within a few weeks it said I run out of credits. And they are asking me to upgrade my package. Now nothing works I can't even interact with the AI unless I upgrade. This is a disgusting cash grab and I am unsubscribing and uninstalling it now. I genuinely feel like I've been ripped off. I paid for a year and now doesn't work at all. I've been scammed by this shady company. Best to completely avoid and don't get sucked in like me. There are free apps available that can help with creating thumbnails. That is where I'm going from here. I hope my review will help others to avoid getting scammed like me.

Terrible experience. Canceling the subscription is unnecessarily difficult and feels designed to confuse users. Worse, I was charged twice in the same day with no explanation. That’s unacceptable. On top of that, the product isn’t worth it and didn’t deliver any real value.
VidIQ has officially pivoted from a creator tool to a predatory cash-grab, implementing a bait-and-switch credit system that forces even paying subscribers to pay per interaction with their AI bot. To make matters worse, they’ve quietly inflated credit cost required for basic tasks again! All with zero communication. You soon realize their "proprietary" insights can be easily replicated for free with five minutes of manual YouTube digging or a basic ChatGPT prompt. The platform is starting to look less like a service and more like a desperate, over-leveraged scam.

I have being struggling until 2024 with my LUIGI'S MANSION 2 HD videos gained more likes and views and it was a lot easier and was less stressful until recently it became more expensive and ai focused which was making it harder to know what the issue was with my channel and content frankly it would be lot better to not have to pay over a £1000 a year for a human coach or even the ai subscription being over £190 for a year
I am extremely disappointed with vidIQ's billing practices. I purchased what was presented as a one-time monthly package, only to find out they signed me up for an automatic recurring subscription without my clear consent. When I contacted support to explain the misunderstanding and request a refund for the unauthorized charge, they gave me a robotic "no refund policy" answer, completely ignoring the fact that their checkout process is misleading. I have not used any paid features since this accidental renewal, but they still refuse to return my money. It feels like a trap for creators rather than a helpful tool. If you value your money and transparency, stay away from this service. They care more about keeping your accidental payment than about customer satisfaction. Avoid vidIQ if you don't want hidden charges!
I’ve been using this tool for about 16 months and it worked really well at the beginning. Unfortunately, the points/credit system has become very frustrating. You now have to repeat prompts multiple times, and every generation (especially when the result isn’t right) costs points. Regenerating a thumbnail that doesn’t match what you want costs 22 points each time. It feels like the system has turned into a cash cow rather than a helpful tool. The AI thumbnail generator is useful when it gets it right, but the constant need to regenerate and the high point cost for corrections makes the whole process inefficient and expensive. I hope vidIQ improves the credit system and makes regeneration more generous, especially for users who need consistent branding.
I had a poor experience with vidIQ and would caution any creator before signing up. After my free trial ended, I was charged $149.25 for a full annual Boost subscription with no clear advance notice that the charge was coming. I was never notified before the billing date that I would be auto-charged a full year's fee. I did not use the platform after the charge was made, and when I contacted support to request a refund on those grounds, I was simply told the plan is non-refundable, with no acknowledgment of the notification failure or the fact that I received zero value from the subscription. For a platform built around helping creators succeed, the billing practices and support experience here fell well short of what a paying customer should expect. I will not be returning, and I'd strongly encourage anyone considering vidIQ to read the fine print very carefully before starting a trial.
Very useful set of tools. Not everything is suitable for my channel and the way I work but I consider VidIQ an essential tool and well worth the price of my subscription.
