I have been using Traveling Mailbox with a Seattle address for almost four years as a digital nomad. It has consistently met all of my needs. Customer support is always solid and fast. Every feature I’ve ever needed has been available. Prices are very reasonable, considering the value and ROI of what they offer. Their UI is simple, to the point, and very efficient. It doesn’t have unnecessary graphical elements. I’ve never experienced a bug, and the service has never been down. I’m a fan. Furthermore, I’ve recommended it to friends who have also used and liked it, and I will likely keep using it for many years to come.
This service is TERRIBLE- an urgent envelope they have not opened for over a week. Zero help from customer service. I cannot wait to cancel if I can get get this envelope forwarded or opened. Total scam - service is non existent.
They used to be good, I was using it from 2016, received just few mails a year, but needed the address. Their forwarding service was pretty good, rates were reasonable. They even refunded the difference if the initial quote was higher than the actual one. This stopped a few years ago, now you enjoy inflated shipping rates, unreasonable packaging leading to even higher shipping cost (and customs charges, as the customs office could not believe that documents could be sent in huge boxes). After filing complaint with them I received the email from them praising their own performance. The meaning of the email was that I must be thankful for their perfect service. Canceled the service immediately (it is so easy to lose a customer by not caring at all!). Not recommended!
Try canceling and getting your money back! Not an easy process but we were victorious! We called to cancel the service and were told we had to do it online. Okay! Easy! Weeks went by and no refund. We called and asked when would we receive our money back and were told IF we wanted our $249 refund, we would have to send an email. Who wouldn’t want their refund? Why didn’t they tell us that when we originally called to inquire about canceling? So….We sent an email and waited. Sent another email and waited. Today we called and were told that our account was still active and we had to go onto our portal and close the account, which we had already done. As soon as we logged in we could see that our account was indeed already closed. We once AGAIN emailed for our refund and lo and behold! We finally got our money. They just don’t care.
Traveling Mailbox took my payment right away! They sure aren't any good with helping me verify my account by video call. They said it usually takes them less than 5 minutes with their chat. I waited twice for 20 minutes with no help. Another company that can't provide what they promise! I paid but cancelled my service!
They literally lost the lease. They didnt tell me I no longer had a mailbox and I didnt receive mail for 2 months. They said they sent an email, one email, which I have never seen to tell me this had happened. In the mean time they continued to charge my credit card. Literally the most unprofessional experience I have had. I am a physician and never leave reviews but this is terrible and the company has provided no help
Traveling Mailbox canceled my location without warning because "the location was struggling to provide the services." Mail will not even be forwarded, it will simply be returned to sender.
I was happy with Traveling Mailbox and recommended it for years, until they cancelled my mail box location with no notice. I lost all of my tax documents for 2024, as I was not made aware of the change my in advance. I reached out to try to give Traveling Mailbox a chance to correct the issue. I received one email reply from Travis, and then he has ignored my follow ups. I have not received a refund for the months I was paying for the special address that was not able to receive mail. Bummer to lose trust in a service I had previously been quite the fan of.
Canceled my mailbox in January 2025, gave me a new mailbox, the new mailbox does not work either, all my mail is still being returned to sender, all my tax documents mailed in january and febuary were returned to sender, these aholes do not care about the customer, bye bye.
I had a traveling mailbox account. They were no longer able to support the facility in the state I wanted and they just changed it without notifying me.
Used to be great when I used them 2018-2019. In 2024-2025 I've had financial documents disappear and the uploads have become insanely slow. Not sure what happened. Disappointing because it used to be a great service. I like the idea of supporting a family-owned business, but this service just simply isn't working anymore.
Had been using their services happily for the last few years until I just found out they closed one of their locations out of nowhere and now all of my mail is getting returned to sender. You had ONE job - and can't do it. Recommend anywhere else, will never use again.
I recently used the services of Traveling Mailbox. I had this company send a package from the US to the Country of Georgia. After the package arrived in Georgia. I was instructed to pay customs of 300 Lari ($110.00). With the aid of my Georgian bank, I sent my payment. We had to complete the process seven times before we were able to get the transaction to successfully be completed. Once completed the customs agent told me I must pay an additional 173.27 Lari ($63.00), she did not explain what this fee was for but I paid it anyway. At this point the customs agent explained that I placed my Tax ID number in the wrong field. After consulting with my bank, I was informed that there was no other available field (on the software interface) to enter this tax ID, other than the field used. I had the same problem when I made the second payment through my banking APP. Since Traveling Mailbox sent the package (on my behalf) only TM could file a claim. I had now spent $900 for a package with a value of $350.00. They tried to file a claim but were informed that I had incorrectly paid the customs and must pay again. When I explained that this was not only possible but also untrue since the payment had been accepted. They had been accepted because I DID have a tax ID number which they recognized. They kept repeating that there was nothing they can do
What a shame a nine-year relationship was dismissed by their lack of ensuring all mailbox holders knew our boxes were being changed! The rep could not even tell me when the notifications were sent out! They simply returned my important business mail to the sender said not one damn thing to me. Wow, so much for my loyalty. To ensure we knew, you should have placed a PDF in the system when you changed your box number. You should have spent 44 cents to send a postcard. We were paying you for a service, and you were collecting my money for free; I got mail 2-3 times per year. Whatever, poor service is that with zero apologies, and now I have to pay the penalty for a new address, so why bother giving them my money when they demonstrate they don't care? Please don't use them; they don't payout for their affiliate marketing either. I was letting that go, but today was my last straw. They took no accountability for their laziness.
I find the app to be very convenient and well-designed, making it easy to navigate and use. However, the website feels outdated and could benefit from a modern refresh. Unfortunately, customer support has been quite disappointing; it’s been difficult to receive timely assistance. Additionally, I’ve noticed that their forward SHIPPING COST ESTIMATES ARE EXTREMELY HIGH compared to estimates from actual shipping companies. Overall, while the app has its strengths, there are significant areas for improvement.
Very careless with mails. I am missing an important mail and I checked with USPS and Sender and both confirmed the address that it was delivered but still after followup with the travelling mailbox team received no response on my mail. No response to the service request received and when I call up, they are asking me casually to re-order the package.

I had to contact my client and ask them to send me a scanned copy of the check via email... Very embarrassing. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I requested escalation after being dissatisfied with the outcome, following an episode where a package of repair parts for a guitar turned up missing. The CEO himself, Travis Poole, got involved, and made sure that the issue was resolved, in light of the fact that the package had turned up missing. I cannot adequately express how efficient, fair, professional, and accommodating Traveling Mailbox were in this matter. Thank you very much!!!
I’ve been with Traveling Mailbox for about six months. I got the service because I travel internationally and I wanted the relieve my small business of unnecessary paper by having the mail scanned for me. In the six months that I’ve had the service, the one thing I’ve found consistent about the service is their inability to deliver the consistent mail services I had hoped for. Without exaggeration, over 40% of the mail they have delivered to my mail box was not my mail. I’ve contacted them repeatedly, but they are unable to resolve the issue and I keep getting someone else’s mail. It makes me wonder if mail that was to addressed to me was delivered to the wrong mailbox.

I submitted a BBB complaint because I am experiencing significant inconsistencies in the processing and delivery of my mail, resulting in extreme delays and, more disturbingly, cases of undelivered mail. For example, a check from Fidelity, mailed on February 16, 2024, has yet to reach me as of March 28, 2024. When I reached out to customer service to address this issue, I was told they couldn't locate my mail without a tracking number. This isn't an isolated incident. In 2022, even with a tracking number and confirmation of an employee signing for my mail, it still took an excessive two months for the mail to be located and delivered to me. I request an immediate audit of all mail received by Traveling Mailbox, regardless of whether it has a tracking number. I need all received mail to be located, scanned, and uploaded to my account promptly. The ongoing issues with mail delivery have reached a critical point where my trust in your service is severely compromised, especially regarding urgent mail. I am considering filing a complaint with the United States Postal Service to address these significant concerns.
My experience is similar to many other reviewers here. I travel internationally and have haven't had a problem in 2 years. However, I had my UPS Store forward my first class mail to TM. The tracking showed it was received by Kaitlyn but it was never scanned or opened. After 15 days and repeated emails and calls, I have lost hope that my mail will ever be recovered.
Extremely poor, unresponsive customer service. I received a check for a large sum of money and asked them to send it to my bank via Fedex overnight. I received a tracking number from TravelingMailbox (TM). TM says the package was picked up. Fedex says they never picked it up. Fedex tracking number shows no movement. I called and emailed TM customer service numerous times to no avail. They promise to get back to me with an update but never did. I concluded that my check is either lost or stolen so I asked the issuer to cancel the check. I also asked TM to refund the money they charged me for the FedEx service which was never implemented. No response from Traveling Mailbox.
Same experience as every one star here. Something is clearly wrong with this inbred family business. Super expensive for what you get - and what you get is seriously unprofessional. There has GOT to be a service out there that does this better than this one - because the bar is set REALLY low by this one.
My relationship with this company started well as they were scanning my mail and uploading it but for the past month I've received nothing to no avail. I am looking to switch companies because of this as this has been a terrible situation to deal with and costing me a lot of money.
