Used to love trading view even paid for the plan however recent updates has got rid of the most simple stuff like cross sync cursors on 2 screens. They have made it to be an upgrade. Which is just money grabbing. I’ve been paying 17£ a month and now they expect us to be paying near to 79£ to have this feature

With recent new changes, starting to make it more difficult to be a basic user. Essentially forcing you to a paid plan. Now I can only create or edit 1 script which was never the case. The platform is slowly removing options from basic users.

Seconds Charts Should Be Included in the Essential Plan

I really like TradingView and its features, but I don’t understand why seconds charts are not included in the Essential plan. Platforms like NinjaTrader and Tradovate offer seconds charts for free, so why do TradingView users have to upgrade to the much more expensive Premium plan just to access such a basic charting feature? TradingView is an excellent platform, but this restriction is frustrating and hard to justify.

Sucks there isn't a better alternative.

Platform renders price much slower than any other charting software. Tradovate prop uses Tradingview charts and price populates there as fast as it would on ProjectX. I pay for the Ultimate plan to have to wait hours / days for support to get back to me. it's the same support person everytime, and he's not helpful at all. Issues are never resolved. There will be gaps in price action almost everyday, or 5-6 seconds of lag from the time you hit "Buy" or "Sell" or set a limit order to the time of execution. It really sucks that there's not a better alternative. Backtesting function is horrible, if you accidentally swap to a different asset while deep in review all data is lost. Don't pay for more than the pro plan, anything more is a waste of money. I will absolutely be jumping ship when a better software comes out.

Love the platform

Love the platform, I have been using the free version for a very long time. I would like to see a smoother use on the mobile device, like when dragging my lines or boxes on my phone, lol it moves the wrong thing almost 98% of the time... And maybe a trendline alarm would be a great addition if not already added. 😎

unreliable for active trading — silent tab freezing is unacceptable

Running multiple charts across tabs is the absolute baseline for any active trader. Having one tab silently freeze its WebSocket feed while another tab keeps updating is dangerous. There is zero warning, no disconnect banner, and no error alert. You are left staring at stale, frozen candles believing the market is holding a level, while the underlying price is already dumping and orders are executing blind. Finding out that your chart stopped updating only after a manual browser refresh is inexcusable for a platform that charges subscription fees. A charting software that cannot reliably keep two browser tabs synchronized during peak market hours is unfit for active trading. Fix your connection stability.

Great for casual charting, but a nightmare for live execution. Canceling my subscription.

I wanted to love TradingView. For pure visual charting, drawing, and brainstorming ideas, it’s slick and accessible. But if you are actually trying to trade live money through a connected broker, it is a completely different, deeply frustrating story. My biggest dealbreaker—and the reason I am finally pulling the plug on my paid subscription—is the constant, unannounced broker account disconnections. There is nothing quite as terrifying as watching the market move against your position, trying to manage a trade, and realizing that TradingView has randomly dropped its connection to your broker. You're left scrambling, refreshing browser tabs, clearing cache, and praying your stop-loss is actually held server-side. For active day trading, this level of platform instability is unacceptable and financially dangerous. To make matters worse, customer support is practically non-existent. When you submit a ticket regarding critical connection failures, you are forced to deal with an unhelpful automated chatbot or endless knowledge-base loops. If you actually manage to get past the automated gatekeepers, the response times from a human are sluggish, and the standard reply is usually just a boilerplate "clear your cache and check your internet connection" response that fixes nothing. They simply do not provide the responsive, dedicated support that paying traders deserve when handling live execution issues. TradingView is fine if you just want to look at pretty lines on a screen, but it fails as a reliable professional terminal.I have officially had enough. I am canceling my subscription and moving over to MotiveWave. Unlike TradingView, MotiveWave is a robust, solid desktop platform built for serious execution, advanced order flow, and stable broker integrations that don't randomly drop out in the middle of a trading session. Save your money and your blood pressure if you trade live—look elsewhere.

Unfair bans + protects scammers

TradingView banned me for posting levels in Minds without a chart. The iPad app literally has no option to attach a chart to a Mind post, that feature only exists on the web version. They banned me for something their own app doesn’t allow. The Minds section has turned into a free advertising board for scammers and signal sellers. Mods do nothing about them. Instead they invent rules and ban normal users. If you point out that mods are ignoring the scammers, they ban you. If you call out a signal seller or warn other people that someone is scamming, TradingView bans you for it. They talk about “house rules” and “quality” while letting scammers run wild and silencing anyone who criticizes it. There is no freedom of speech here. The app is broken on iPad, moderation is selective, and they punish users for platform limitations they created. Avoid.

so restrictive

Manipulating Trustpilot reviews that kind of behavior looks extremely dishonest and completely destroys any foundation of trust. When a company gets caught manipulating Trustpilot reviews, spamming fake positive feedback, or reporting and hiding negative experiences, it creates exactly the dishonest and deceptive corporate image you described. It is an arrogant "emergency brake" move to salvage their brand, which usually only makes things worse and proves they cannot handle criticism. TradingView has grown so large that it now seems to behave like a classic monopoly corporation: When trust is broken at the level of customer service and public image, it is only natural to question what else is happening behind the scenes. If a platform feels that rotten and unreliable in everything it does, using it for investing—where your own hard-earned money is on the line—becomes way too big of a risk. Many have already voted with their feet at this stage, either moving their charts to other platforms or switching entirely to open-source tools where no outside company can dictate the rules or manipulate information. I would recommend getting into alternative platforms that operate with genuine transparency and don't engage in that kind of backroom scheming. high level of charging from its Premium users like hundreds of euros a year, these kinds of amateurish restrictions feel like a straight-up slap in the face. Building a more complex quantitative strategy or risk management system hits a brick wall the second you try to do anything even remotely professional. The reason for this "code jerry-rigging" is that TradingView has architecturally locked itself into its own closed ecosystem. Because Pine Script runs on their servers instead of the user's machine, they protect their own wallets and hardware by limiting script complexity. It is done entirely for the sake of their own easier scalability—screw the user experience and the needs of professionals. If that restriction stops you from doing what you want, you have practically outgrown TradingView's baby shoes. In professional trading, this is exactly why people move away from Pine Script: • Python (Pandas, Backtrader, zipline): Zero limits. You can run codebases with millions of lines, use machine learning, and process gigabytes of data on your own machine or a cloud server. • MetaTrader 5 (MQL5) or NinjaTrader (C#): The code compiles directly into machine language and runs on your own hardware. You can build algorithms as massive as you want without any compiler starting to cry about tokens. TradingView is great just for quickly browsing charts, but for serious and heavy coding, it is exactly as restricted and completely garbage.

I trusted blindly and was betrayed when a initial coin offering (ICO) used whitepaper deception and phantom development teams to orchestrate a massive theft against me focused on discounted seed-round token allocations. Disappeared overnight, wiping their Telegram channels, Discord servers, and corporate websites clean. I required seasoned chain analysts who could trace obfuscated transactions, so I brought on «Bramsey ADVISOR LLC LLC». Applying state-of-the-art forensic auditing, «Bramsey ADVISOR LLC LLC» intercepted the blockchain transactions before they could be laundered overseas. I am forever grateful for their relentless dedication and professional excellence.

Svaret? "Unfortunately, we cannot help here." Det mest ironiska är deras automatiska svar: "All questions will be answered, issues solved, refunds issued, don't worry."

Massive delay issues—unusable for real-time tracking There is a huge delay in the data feed that makes it impossible to trade or analyze charts effectively.

Premium Price For Legacy Software

I've been using TradingView for YEARS, and every year, I hope that they'll finally fix the bugs. Nope. Gotta reload the page every minute or two to get charts to load, sync issues between devices, it takes 45 seconds for a new alert to register on the chart. I can go on and on. This is okay for 2006 but not for 2026. Other platforms are MILES ahead, yet TradingView has the gall to charge $600 for basic charting. TradingView has at best a 5 year runway - people are quickly noticing that other platforms are way better value, and ACTUALLY work. You can only slap patches on legacy software for so long before the tech industry buries you. Bye!

It's a shame to have to pay for this

Overall, it's a nice platform, but the backtesting tool is unusable. It’s impossible to switch assets in backtesting mode (it’s so slow, as if I didn’t have an internet connection); the same thing happens when I go back in time and change the time frame to move forward—it freezes up, forcing me to restart the app, and I can’t complete my backtest. It’s a shame to pay for a service like this. I’m going to check out the competition from now on.

Premium subscriber stuck in a support…

Premium subscriber stuck in a support chatbot loop I am a paying TradingView Premium customer, and my experience trying to obtain technical support has been deeply frustrating. TradingView MCP quote requests repeatedly return HTTP 429 errors, while watchlist access works. Limited diagnostic checks several hours apart produced the same failure. I have a detailed technical report available. I spent approximately 15 minutes going through the Chat Assistant’s repetitive troubleshooting flow without reaching a human or finding a workable way to submit my complete report. I then contacted support by email. The automated reply stated that TradingView does not provide support by email and directed me straight back to the same Chat Assistant. This left me going in circles, with an unresolved technical issue and no successful escalation to a support specialist. For a paid Premium subscription, this support experience is unacceptable. Customers need a practical way to submit detailed diagnostics and reach a person when automated troubleshooting fails. TradingView: please open a technical support ticket, assign a human specialist, and review the MCP quote failure. I would welcome a substantive response and will update this review if the issue is resolved.

Lost trust in them

Good service, but I have lost almost all trust in it I have been using TradingView for years, and I have generally been very happy with the service. The charts, tools and overall platform are very good, which is why I have stayed with it for so long. However, something happened today that has completely changed my view of the service. I have always maintained two watchlists. One was my large, main list containing the pairs and instruments I follow, and the other was a smaller list. This morning, when I switched to the other list, I could no longer get back to my large list. I understand that TradingView needs to make money, and I have no problem with having different features and limits depending on the subscription. What I do have a problem with is losing reliable access to a watchlist that I have spent years building. In fact, I ended up deleting my large list because I could no longer access it properly. That means years of work and information I had trusted TradingView to preserve are now gone. This is where the issue goes beyond pricing. I already receive TradingView access through two of my trading brokers, so I understand that TradingView has different business arrangements and subscription levels. But I have always kept my original TradingView account because it contained my complete list of instruments that I follow. The price of a paid TradingView subscription compared with what I actually get from the service no longer makes sense to me. There are good features, but the value proposition has become difficult to justify when basic things like reliable access to my own watchlists can become an issue. Most importantly, this experience has destroyed my confidence in keeping important trading information on the platform. TradingView is still a very good product. That is what makes this so frustrating. I have used it for years and genuinely liked it. But after today's experience, I have lost around 99% of my trust in the service. If TradingView wants long-term customers to pay for premium subscriptions, it needs to make them feel that their data, watchlists and workflows are safe and dependable. I don't currently have that feeling anymore.

I like TradingView

I like TradingView, but it’s frustrating that they frequently restrict analysis tools—reserving them for premium users—and limit the number of indicators you can use, especially when there are other analysis platforms on the market that offer many of these features for free.
