WTF - Worst Customer Service Ever
WTF. Can't talk to a person, customer service is non existent except wrong answers via email that take up to 24 hours to come. Had banking info correct in quickbooks but somehow Melio pulled the wrong info and they will not help fix it. RUN LIKE HELL!! NO I would not recommend

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Melio Payments. I made a payment of **$2,400**, and shortly afterward, my account was suspended without any explanation. There was no prior warning, no clear reason provided, and my funds were effectively left in limbo. What makes the situation even more frustrating is the complete lack of communication. I've sent multiple emails to their support team, but I haven't received any meaningful response or update. As a customer, I expect transparency and timely support, especially when my money is involved. Suspending an account without explanation and then ignoring customer inquiries is unacceptable. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Melio Payments to anyone who values reliable service and responsive customer support.
Fraud and unethical practices
I had a failed wire transfer of a little over 16k. They did not tell me it did not go through, nor did they return the money. I lost a vendor because I thought for sure it was paid. I was using Melio through quickbooks online and there was no alerts, no texts no phone calls. I found out 2 years later that they still have my money. I'm not in a legal battle to try to get the money that they stole from me back.

There is no staff
There is no staff. There is no live person to talk to, so whoever said in their review great staff they’re lying. I have tried for 32 days to pay my attorney. I’ve been on Melio site for a year.. I designated a credit card to pay my bill and it took it out of my checking account, causing me all kinds of fee fees. It continues every single day to not take my credit card. I can’t pay my attorney.. just stupid AI answers robots that can’t help. There is no phone support. Worst company I’ve ever seen in my life.

I came across a public signup promotional offer and signed up after reviewing the terms and conditions. I sent my first payment and it was an okay-ish process but not that intuitive. There are better options on the market and I'll keep my existing setup. Trust is all that there is in these types of companies. I fulfilled my end of the promotional signup and met the terms and conditions of the account. After reaching out to customer service they claim that the offer can be cancelled based on fraud or abuse. Poor form, complete trash way to speak to someone.

Payments have been moving faster than I expected
I’ve used Melio a few times now, and the first thing I noticed is that the payments actually go through quickly. A couple of vendors got paid sooner than I thought they would, which meant I didn’t have to keep checking in or sending follow-up messages. The setup was straightforward too, but for me the main thing is that the money doesn’t feel like it’s just sitting there in limbo. So far, it’s been a solid experience. 0 Reply

I would give this company a 0 if I could. This company was used as a secondary company to allow the transaction of a timeshare purchase transaction. I was the seller and the other company the buyer. I had to pay the buying company $800.00 to start the timeshare transfer. Melio should have verified that the transaction was completed and that the timeshare transfer was completed. THEY DID NOT!! They are a shell for scam companies, so be aware!!! They state that the payer agrees that the agreement is completed when you send the money to them (that they send to the receiver.) So they verify nothing as they state. They say that they protect the customer. THEY DO NOT! DO not use this company. They protect you from nothing. UPDATED: In response to you, YOU certainly did not reach out to me until AFTER you forwarded my money. As I claim, Melio DID NOT DO WHAT IT IS SUPPOSED TO DO and that is act as a holding company for contractual agreements. You are lazy and you are a sham. USERS PLEASE BEAWARE. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!
Verification took longer than I expected

Took me a minute, but it fits in well
I was mostly just trying to clean up a few things in my payment process because I was tired of jumping between bills, spreadsheets, and my accounting software. I wasn’t expecting too much at first, and it did take a little poking around to figure out where everything was. After that, though, Melio ended up connecting to my accounting setup easily. The bills and payments have been syncing the way I need them to, and it’s cut down on a decent amount of manual entry. Overall, it’s been working nicely now that I’m used to it. 0 Reply

Account suspended on day two without warning. Is this even a legitimate company?
I signed up and went through onboarding. The platform told me I was ready to receive money. So I created a payment link and started distributing it to customers. The next day, after the payment link had begun to see use, my account was suspended without warning, which is making me look like a fool to customers and is having a very real impact on my ability to get paid. Don't make the same mistake I did. Use literally anything else. Update: It's been over a week and support has been completely unresponsive. There was a reply here on Trustpilot from Melio which offered help, but it seems that was just an attempt to save face publicly. To make matters worse, while my account is suspended, my payment link still appears to be up, misleading customers into thinking they can still submit payments to me through Melio. Taking bank info and payments then vanishing is scammer behavior, not legitimate business behavior. I ended up using Helcim instead, which works better and has an amazing and highly responsive support team. Update 2: After TWO WEEKS, I finally got a response from Melio. As far as I could tell, it was canned or just AI. It claimed that they can't explain the reason for their decision, but it was based on a "thorough review". I'm curious what exactly their "thorough review" entailed, because it definitely did not involve running a credit check, making any contact, or even knowing what my business does. Helcim is still amazing. Just use them instead.

This is one of the worst payment platforms ever. The customer service/support is horrible and don't expect them to explain things to you or have an actual human to speak with to resolves issues. I have a legitimate business and they were asking me for documents that do not apply I have everything needed from the state and it's to prove I have a business and they still froze my payments and shut down my account and you can never get a real person on the phone except their outsourced customer service number who can't do anything to help you. I really wanted to like this platform but the more they let robots take over the horrible they get

Melio's AI randomly blocks payments
Melio randomly blocks payments due to AI-powered "compliance and acceptable use guidelines" including "payments between individuals". This includes vendors you may have paid in the past. In our case, we're a business (501(c)(3) charitable org) paying an individual artist for performing/exhibiting, and we are suddenly receiving random rejections due to unspecified issues. All these issues are flagged by AI, and impact our ability to pay vendors. As a 501(c)(3) with a lawyer on our board, we are very cautious about our use of funds, and yet we still receive random rejections from Melio Payments.
