Die freie Version von Foxit ist viel schlechter als alle anderen freien PDF-Angebote auf dem Software-Markt. Nicht einmal mehrere Wörter oder ganze Sätze kann man problemlos markieren, um sie später per copy-paste weiter zu verwenden. Dafür bräuchte man zwingend den Foxit-Editor. Freie Software dagegen bietet die ganze Palette von Editierfunktionen an - also ist Foxit einfach nur eine Geldmaschine. Typisch USA ! UPDATE: YOUR ANSWER IS TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE. Foxit knows exactly what I mean - so why engage me in discussing the problem?
Very easy to use with professional results.
I needed a PDF editor to manage online PDFs for a friends website (all free to download). Looked at a few different packages, but went back to the one I knew from Uni days. Does everything I need and more. Currently on my 3rd year auto subscription
TL/DR: Buy something else. Foxit is an ok product when the features work. But their Support is slow, contradictory and ultimately not interested in solving problems. Edit: Foxit DID provide a refund after multiple times saying no. We purchased Foxit Editor for its form detection and addition capabilities - which are slightly better than Acrobats. However after a short while we noticed errors appearing in PDF documents editted in Foxit - particularly when we applied different fonts to the fields. In our case it was - if our customers opened the pdf in Acrobat Reader, then they would get a "Cannot extract font" error. We raised this issue with Foxit support, and that is were the frustration grew exponentially. * After receiving generic support answers, Foxit CLOSED the support call "Due to the time-related constraints imposed by our ticketing system, I'm unfortunately compelled to close this case for now". Seriously - I am closing your support call that isn't resolved because the system makes me? - No. If you support has a time criteria - then FIX THE PROBLEM! * And then radio silence for 2 months. I followed up support to be told "its a complex issue", received inane requests for basic steps. * In the end I provided an example document - with no errors. I added 1 field with Foxit - errors. No response... * Another month - and I request a refund. I had waited 3 months (at Foxit's request) without any evidence of progress on a resolution or any communication from support. * Foxit responded with "we have swiftly completed a comprehensive technical analysis" - Swiftly? Either they took three months and didn't get anywhere. Or the parked the issue and decided to quickly look at it, AFTER I requested a refund. * Their conclusion - "the error only occurs within Adobe Reader, while Adobe Acrobat works normally" - so they conclude its an Adobe issue. They even suggested I tell MY customers to log a call with Adobe. This is a widely reported error in the Internet - and Adobe clearly say - the issue is with a corrupt pdf or the pdf creator software. So this is just smoke and mirrors * And the final proof of Foxit support "We acknowledge that Adobe Acrobat Reader displays an error when opening the document. However, the presence of an error message in a particular PDF viewer does not by itself demonstrate that Foxit introduced a document defect." So - because I can't technically prove that Foxit "introduced the defect" - they won't supply a refund. But If I use their product to modify a document - it introduces an error. Finally Foxit said - "refunds are only eligible within 14 days from the original purchase date." Please wait while we (don't) investigate the problem. Now you have waited too long - no refund. EDIT: Foxit did eventually provide a refund but only after multiple refusals. Just don't buy this product. Buy anything else.
We approached the product because it was one of the few that managed Remote Desktop Services environments with user-level authentication. Unfortunately, however, the installation limit prevents the cluster from being expanded seamlessly. Although the license is per user, it is limited to two hosts.
Their product is phenomenal. I love it so much more than Adobe. The cost is prohibitive for my small business, though.
We've been using Foxit PDF in our architectural office for over six years. Overall, it offers many useful features and is a capable PDF editor. However, one of our biggest frustrations is the user interface. Many commonly used tools are difficult to locate, and we often waste time searching through menus and toolbars. A cleaner, more intuitive layout would significantly improve productivity. Our other major concern is the pricing. We were surprised to see our subscription cost nearly double in the latest billing cycle. That increase has made us reconsider whether Foxit still offers good value for our business. Because of the substantial price increase, we're now evaluating alternative PDF solutions. At the current price point, we may even consider returning to Adobe Acrobat or another competitor.

The foxit version (PDF Editor) that I am using is very user friendly and corresponds well to my basic needs.
Intuitive to use, I regret however that the signature feature is not included into my paid version
All-encompassing PDF program With this program I've got everything I need: conversion directly out of office programs, encrypting, decrypting, scanning, combining, and many more features. A great program.
Still, finding the user interface cumbersome and not able to do every word indexing of documents to create a catalog. What also like to be able to use under lennox, mint, cinnamon OS.
The online Foxit PDF version is unable to reduce file size and struggles to organize large files.
I quit using it because the characters got all pixelated and I didn't want to pay for AI I don't want to use.
Tool works well. I like that it's available on multiple platforms so I can use it on all of my devices.
I called Foxit Software to cancel my business subscription because I no longer need the service. The representative, John, was rude and dismissive during the call. I was told that I could not cancel because the subscription was for a one-year term. However, I do not believe this was clearly explained when I signed up. The option appeared to be either monthly payments or paying for the year upfront, not a non-cancelable contract. I am disappointed with both the customer service and the lack of clear information about the subscription terms. Customers deserve to be treated with respect. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Foxit.
I have never been able to access the account. i cant reset passwords or anything nothing works and you cant get ahold of anyone. I need to cancel. Ive paid 2 years for nothing. Please contact me.

My go-to PDF format especially as it's now great for editing.
Interface is good. Dislikes: UIs must be closable and NOT interfere with reading text. Many times AI or other parts block text and cannot be removed unless Foxit is closed! (defect in your programming). NEEDED FEATURES: "Open Previous Session" (opens all files possible when Foxit was closed. Researchers normally work with 20-30 files opened for specific purposes. Turning off the computer makes work for locating and starting up again. If Projects could be defined, it would be another way. AI in Foxit is not helpful in general. CoPilot (ChatGPT) is better to ask how to do things. Academic subscription is good and necessary for me to keep using the product.
I always find a quick solution whenever i am looking for a way to deal with pdf files
A very good PDF alternative that is let down by a prehistoric renew and support process.
The functions are easy to find in the menus and easy to use. The various functions for cropping, rotating, adding and deleting pages, and the text functions are useful and convenient. However, many documents print as gibberish, whereas the same documents print well with another pdf reader, so I don't use the foxit for printing anymore.
Great for snapping pictures and quick use. Applying jpg could be simpler and drawing edits in the PDF is bulky. Smoother process would be nice. I don't mind the subscription price at all. An upgrade might be in order.
Switched to Foxit over a year ago and hands down it is a better application and offers more for less then Adobe. Thank you!
Foxit works great when you learn how to open edit features.
I have enjoyed the benefits of FoxIT Pro for a few years now and get the same robust features as Acrobat at a lower price. It's also great to not have all the background fluff the Adobe uses and drains from my system, even when not using their product.
Although the product is solid, the licensing is overly restrictive and difficult to manage. Unlike other subscription products, this product requires a license for each and every device. Even though I only use one device at time, I have to pay for 3 licenses to use on all devices. Ridiculous. And, the licensing portal is absolute trash and very difficult to manage for multiple users, especially for adding multiple licenses on a single user. Probably, my least favorite Saas to manage.
Foxit Tool is fully featured and has most of the attributes we require.

I made the switch from Adobe to Foxit over a year ago and have never looked back! I find the interface more user-friendly and easier to manage my small business needs. I don't create many PDFs, but I do edit them frequently. The tools are easy to find and easy to use.
I use the Mac version. It keeps telling me to update, but then refuses to update. The other thing that bugs me is that every time my Mac goes to sleep, the window shrinks. When I wake up my Mac, I have to resize the window.
Honestly, after googling a signature service I stumbled upon Foxit Esign and it is super rare to say how great and easy Esign is. Didn't know Foxit did signatures since i've been using their free Reader for almost a decade now. I reached out to support for a simple question and their automated system gave me an answer in 2 seconds that worked. They mention phone support is available 24/7 so at least thats peace in mind if I need a human to assist!
It's very expensive for my use (times two - one for me one for spouse, since there's no family plan). $25 a month! If you have heavy use needs, it's probably easier to swallow. But no other software offers the basic needs I have any cheaper. So it's a matter dealing with it. Good product. Solid, few issues, which is unusual and great!
I had used up my 3 activation keys since purchasing the PhantomPDF software. I had used the program to put a user license on my e-book, to prevent copying and printing. I needed a new activation key because I had been running it on Windows 7, and wanted to transfer it to my newer Windows 11, So, after calling a Foxit rep to inquire if it would work on Windows 11, she said yes, and sent me a new activation key, and she deactivated the program on Win 7. But after I installed it on Win 11, I found that the program didn't work on Win 11. I now had no working program. So, I called back, and the other rep told me it wouldn't work on Win 11, and I was basically up a creek without a paddle, and had to purchase a yearly or perpetual license ($209) if I didn't want the yearly license. Had I known this I would have kept using it on Windows 7. For a program that has very expensive licensing options, this resulted in a very negative review of Foxit. I will never use any of their programs again. Exploring other options, I discovered I could do almost everything I needed to do in Foxit, by instead using the free LibreOffice office suite with the same security properties (no copying or printing). That was done by opening LibreOffice, selecting LibreOffice Draw, opening my PDF in LibreOffice Draw, then selecting from the menu, File > Export As> Export as PDF. This brings up a dialog box called PDF Options. From there you can add a password to secure either the whole document or to secure certain properties by preventing copying or printing. I am finding so many companies like Adobe and Foxit and NCH and others who are trying to milk every dollar than can from consumers. Thankfully, there are many other options using open source software, or some companies that still offer perpetual licenses for a reasonable fee.
Good reliable product.
Clumsy product. Gives update notification and will not update (app closed or open). Menu commands at times not traditional resulting in learning in the middle of using the app. Ok to replace more expensive Adobe and better than many noxious pdf apps. In the end, would love to have Adobe, but not the Adobe price. This will do until then.
Make sure to read the fine print. I signed up expecting a monthly subscription, but it turned out to be an annual license disguised as a regular monthly plan. Customer service couldn’t have cared less. Extremely deceptive business practice. I will never do business with them again or with any company associated with them.
I bought a new laptop and wanted to add an extra licence. It was impossible and in the end i switched to another pdf software. Your payment and payment renewal process is extremely difficult. Foxit itself - once it works is very useful
I like the product. It generally works well. However, I've had a terrible support experience. I opened a ticket, was assigned a person, they reached out to me once but since then I've had to reach out to check on status every single time. Nothing at all has been done on the ticket for around two months. It's terrible!! I hate working with a company who has terrible support. I will look to figure out a different product to use over the next year and will tell others that your support is terrible.
Works well but way too expensive for the amount I need it
Terrible Service, theives! They keep charging me for a service that I've stopped using 5 months ago! They claim that I've signed up for yearly contract but paying monthly (how phishy!!) I had to lock my credit card entirely just to not let them capture more money as I do with any scammers. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES, THEY ARE BUNCH OF THEIVES WHO LOOK FOR JUST STEALING MONEY.
J’ai voulu télécharger la version d’essai de 14 jours de Foxit Editor, le téléchargement a duré des heures, l’activation a été laborieuse, mon mot de passe n’étant jamais reconnu, puis une fois qu’il l’a été, à la fin de cet interminable processus, l’interface a affiché le nombre de jours qu’il me restait pour l’essai gratuit : 0 jour ! ZÉRO ! Une matinée perdue pour cette blague ! Mais en voyant le nombre de très mauvais commentaires sur Trustpilot, je ne regrette pas d’avoir été détourné de ce logiciel avant même de l’avoir testé, ainsi je ne suis pas tenté d’acheter une version payante ! J’irai voir ailleurs.
