I joined Dreamtime's free plan to download a picture for a documentary I am involved in. At first it was a tricky experience, since only afterwards understood that image was not included in that free option and it wasn't very clear. I explained this to an assistant, which was extremely helpful and kind. His name was Tom T. As, after all, that image was not going to be used, I deleted the picture and I was refunded. It began in a very confusing and tricky way, but was eventually solved by Tom's empathetic behaviour.

Update! After contacting customer service they resolved the issue very quickly and refunded the money since I hadn't done anything with the subscription and cancelled immediately. So the additional stars are for the customer service Still the way the "trial period" is handled is nothing to rave about. "Offering a free trial with download of 15 images, then when you have entered all the card details and push the dowload button, they spring a pop up window / overlay on you, where you subscribe (paid of course) to have the watermark removed if you click on the wrong option. Cancelling the subscription makes you jump through hoops and I have yet to find a way to cancel the card / account. Way too scammy & shady to be a serious service provider, unfortunately."
Untrustworthy and non-responsive
I signed up for a free month trial, and was immediately billed for a month USD25. I used the contact form to get in touch with customer service to rectify the issue, but never received a response. I had to lodge a dispute with my bank to have the transaction reversed and the funds returned. BEWARE!

Luego no hay opción de confirmación del plan; inmediatamente proceden al cobro. No dejan eliminar cuenta ni borrar los datos de tu tarjeta. Incluso para cancelar la suscripción esconden la opción de cancelarla, cambiando el color de las letras y resaltando solo lo que les conviene. Estafa total. No recomienda ni siquiera pruebas gratis.

I have been given recommendations for photos for a while, and finally found one that deeply resonated with my roots as a believer. I downloaded a footprint in the sand photo by Dreamstime and it reminded me of a prayer I once knew as a child in Primary School. Growing up as a Filipino Australian, this was very important for me. Thank you for the image and your work.
Specific needs and search options
Need more specific or advanced words for search, too many non-related images when searching, takes up too much time and wrist erosion. Otherwise great site. Also need a place to contact person who did picture, especially on the free ones, where, those who yet can't pay, can at least let the author of pic know who or where their piece is being shown. Will eventually buy a plan. Had some at first. Also, someone who hasn't use your site in a while, but had bought before, need to let them know how long they can use the pics they bought maybe years ago. There are talented people here. Thanks.

Good pics, but not easy to get hold of artist to give him/her credit. Not even in ones I've downloaded. That should be easily fixed. Sent email about this, sorry but easier instructions or help to notify an artist/creator that their pic was used would be helpful. Still like the site.

Payment issue
I had an issue with a payment and subscription, so I contacted the support team. I received a response almost immediately: my subscription was cancelled and the payment was refunded. I’m very satisfied with how quickly and efficiently the issue was resolved.

I would not recommend this company. If you sign up there is no way to cancel. You call and fill out form on the site and no one answers or calls back. I had to go to the BBB site to find an additional number to cancel. NEVER again.

Free trial has watermarked images, makes it difficult to cancel
It appears that Dreamstime is one of those websites whose main business model revolves around making it too difficult to leave once they've got you. First, note that the free trial has no value, as images you download are watermarked. You also cannot delete your account if you have any activity on it (i.e. if you download even that single image you wanted in the first place). I have contacted customer service to delete my account as I'm not comfortable with having my bank details stored by them. Lastly, and most egregiously, the site makes it very difficult to cancel your subscription (regardless of what the feedback from them on this website says). From memory, you have to go 'My Account', then 'Plan Management', then, counter-intuitively, press 'Upgrade my plans' (or something like that), then scroll down to find the button on the bottom left that says 'turn off auto renew' or 'cancel plan' (can't remember which one it is), then scroll down on the 'are you sure?' popup, then press 'turn off auto renew'. The website will try to direct you to pausing your membership, which is not what you want. As others have said, it's a pretty scummy way of doing business.
Fast resolution of a problem
I made a mistake in my ordering and set up a monthly package rather than a single purchase. When I wrote to customer support, the matter was resolved and my money refunded within 24 hours. Excellent service and very different from a similar problem with Adobe a coupld of years ago
First payment may take years...
For sellers it takes a long time to withdraw the money with the $100 mark. Adobe Stock is much better.

Dishonest trial practice, difficult to cancel, my card immediately started pinging with additional transaction checks from companies that I didn't recognize after signing up for the trial so I've had to order a new one.

Every time I visit your site, I chuckle at this phrase: "In order to download more free images please purchase a payment plan. Members who purchase commercial plans have access to all our free images." You expect people to PAY for your "free" images. Talk about doublespeak!
