The service sells you an empty promise
I bought photos on a subscription plan and followed all the license rules. Nevertheless, the author of several photos contacted me and filed a claim over my use of their images, and now I have to cover legal expenses. I provided the author with all the licenses I downloaded from Depositphotos, but that didn’t satisfy them and they still took the case to court. In Depositphotos’ contributor agreement it says that all issues should be resolved through Depositphotos, but in reality, who actually makes them follow this? I also contacted the company’s support several times: first via chat and email, then directly through their support address. So it’s simply impossible that my request just got “lost.” I asked them to contact the author to clarify the situation from their side, and I described everything in detail — that I had purchased the licenses, used the images legally, and provided the licenses to the author. And do you know what they replied? Almost word for word: “Please provide the licenses to the author.” And that was IT. I wrote again that I had already sent everything, and since then they have just been ignoring me. So if you decide to use this service, be aware that in any conflict with authors you are effectively not protected, and in my experience Depositphotos is selling you an empty promise, without actually standing behind its obligations. At this point, my lawyer and I are preparing a claim against Depositphotos, because I have fully and in good faith complied with all the terms of the agreements and licenses.

Absolute Garbage. I recently purchased an unlimited plan - the plan is anything but; a lot of images on the site still say "Extra plan required" and then there's all the reCaptchas - I'm getting hit with a reCaptcha on Every. Single. Asset. I try to download, and after a while, even when I get the Captcha's right, it makes me restart. (And I'm signed in with Google and NO VPN - nothing that would trigger Captchas). Waited another 24 hours, STILL getting reCaptchas on EVERY SINGLE ASSET download. Customer service is no help at all, when you finally get through to a real live person, they parrot copy-paste answers at you so it feels like you're talking to an AI chatbot.

I went from Furious to Delighted
I had an experience regarding the DepositPhotos auto-renew policy that left me frustrated and furious. The Chatbot had no answers, so I sent my info to the response team and heard nothing back for several hours. The next day, I received lengthy, detailed responses from real human beings who gave me several good options and signed their names and asked me if any of those options would satisfy me. I said, "Yes. Thank you very much for taking the time to help me accomplish what I was trying to do." It took a whole day for them to figure out how to help me get where I was trying to go, but I do need to tell you that I did explain (in detail, in my complaint) what I needed that was different than what I had originally committed to do. Details matter. The thing that I now see that I did right was that I gave them a clear understanding of how my needs had changed. This was all that they needed to help me get exactly what I wanted. I was more furious that you can possibly imagine, but I went ahead and included information that I felt they deserved to know. If you're having a problem with DepositPhotos, this is how you fix it. I dealt with Olha and with Daniela and both of them were delightful.

Jestem po kilku miesiącach korzystania z usług DepositPhotos. Po takim czasie mogę bez wahania uznać, że dostępne narzędzia działają znakomicie. Szczególnie dobre zdanie mam o możliwości generowania obrazów AI. Niezwykle cenna jest możliwość załączenia zdjęcia bazowego, które ma być bazą do wygenerowania nowego obrazu. Jakość wygenerowanych obrazów i ich trafność wobec oczekiwań opisanych w prompcie jest na wysokim poziomie. Jak już kiedyś wspomniałem, oczekiwałbym tylko wprowadzenia możliwości pisania dłuższych promptów. Obecne ograniczenie ilości znaków nie zawsze wystarcza na szczegółowy opis oczekiwanego obrazu. Jednocześnie chcę podkreślić, że poza strona czysto technologiczną, DepositPhotos oferuje klientowi nieprzeciętnie wysoką jakość obsługi ze strony konsultantów. Moją opiekunką w tej dziedzinie jest Pani Diana Makarevych. Kontakt z Panią Dianą jest błyskawiczny i nie ma zagadnienia, którego Pani Diana nie potrafiłaby natychmiast wyjaśnić. Jest wysokiej klasy specjalistką w zakresie usług od DepositPhotos. Warto dodać, że komunikacja z Panią Diana odbywa się na wysokim poziomie kultury, uprzejmości, cierpliwości, a co najważniejsze, jest prawdziwie merytoryczny.

An sich ist der Service top. Doch man hat nur eine begrenzte Zeit, um die Bilder aus dem Abo zu downloaden. Mein Abo ist abgelaufen und ich hatte eigentlich noch einige Bilder, die ich downloaden konnte. Das Problem hatte ich schon einmal und musste dann, um meine Bilder, die ja eigentlich bezahlt waren, nochmal Geld bezahlen. Das finde ich Abzocke und eine Frechheit.

Terrible stock resource. It withholds and doesn't pay authors their earnings. Belarus has no connection to rusia or military action. The sanctions against russia do not apply to Belarusians. We regret this. And it's very disappointing that there's such a biased attitude toward Belarusians.

Unjustified harassment Copytrack for my image license…
I have been buying images from Depositphotos for the BLOG of my company Alkivita d.o.o. and for my personal blog, with a Business License, for the 7th year. I am very grateful for the professional approach of Mrs. Martina Figova from Depositphotos, who helped me with valuable answers and encouragement, so that I will go through the challenges with Copytrack with less effort. For the last couple of years, they have been harassing me 2-3 times a year with a request to submit a license, with a letter as if they represent the copyright holder. In reality, the real and sole author is hearing about them for the first time. This was a really heavy burden for me, because they also harassed me in mid-August when I was on vacation, and Mrs. Martina Figova's understanding and quick-response support means a lot to me. So from now on, I will no longer deal with unjustified Copytrack requests. She also explained to me the complete protection that Depositphotos generously offers its clients in difficult times, so that I feel truly safe and reassured. When I renewed my Business License, Ms. Martina Figova immediately understood and helped me by making sure the annual invoice accurately stated the period. Thank you again, it's a pleasure to work with Depositphotos and Ms. Martina Figova!

Always a great experience
Always a great experience. Time and again, they've been super helpful. Whether it's for my ads or my landing pages, they've got the images, videos and other assets you need. Even in the time of AI, I'd still prefer them over a MidJourney or Higgsfield. Because, there's no replacement of what's original. I'd urge big media houses to go with them, because we don't want to see these skillful photographers on DepositPhotos fade away into oblivion because of AI. Over the years, they've never for once disappointed me, even back when I had issues with their support, they reached out to me and resolved it, so from my own personal experience, I can safely say that they deserve all the love and support and most of all respect, they've earned it.

5 year and still very happy!
I've used Depositphotos for about 5 years now and I've always been impressed with the service and value. I've just communicated in the chat on their website to renew my annual subscription and was helped quickly and efficiently. My only criticism would be that sometimes if you download graphics that you think will have a transparent background (showing a checkered grey and white in the image) it usually isn't so - and you'll just get a file with one layer. Otherwise vectors and other photograph type images have been fabulous!
