I'll give these con artists two stars. One star for the fact that this guy Shane is apparently the LEADER in his field. This guy's existence seems to be based around the idea that he's somehow smarter than everyone else because he's versed in the dictionary definition of "bar codes". I've never spoken to anyone so smug in all my life. He seemed to enjoy pointing out that words like "database" and "spreadsheets" are inaccurate terms for how things are classified in his world of expertise (watch the dude literally do it in response to this review). This guy is a piece of work. The other 1 star is for refunding me for selling me codes that are already registered to another company. This guy takes the bait and will talk over you and condescend and likely waste hours of your day explaining why his third-party website is the TOP IN THEIR FIELD. I highly recommend just using bar codes from an Old Corn Pops box before investing any thought into working with these people, or Person. Luckily the Better Business Bureau exists to investigate fraud when it occurs.

I haven’t had good service my emails keep getting ignored Amazon won’t accept the codes which they say are linked to another company and the customer services won’t get back to my numerous emails…. Stay away they say they will sort it out but never do

This is frankly scary. We were stung several years ago when we purchased a large amount of barcodes that had already been used by other traders. It is clear based on the reviews on here that Bar Codes Talk continue to successfully sell fraudulent codes while gaming the review system. Trustpilot, why are you supporting such obvious scams? Reply to Bar Codes Talk - People can see recent reviews complaining about exactly the same issue! Your recent customers have had the same problems - the barcodes you sell were used by other businesses YEARS AGO! It's rather like you selling a car you no longer have and you know it was stolen years ago and then telling the buyer to report the theft to the police. BIZARRE! It's fraud - plain and simple. Our credit card company agreed and arranged a successful charge back. Trustpilot, where are you?

SCAMMERS!! I ordered my first smaller order 2 months ago. I received the barcodes. Used them for my production. Yesterday I paid for a bigger order. I did not receive the barcodes. I contacted them. They didn't wanted to help. Showed them a screenshot of my bank payment. They still did not believe that I paid and so they ended the conversation. I started reading about them. Found out that they sell used codes. I checked my first order of barcodes that I used for my production. Finding out that these are used codes! I will receive my production in a week and now need to repack thousands of items to add new barcodes!! Lost my money and need to spend weeks of extra work! And change my launch date!

ALL 500 that I purchased were already owned by another business, Luigis Pizza! USED Barcodes! Facts are they advertise that their codes work for Amazon GUARANTEED!! Big logo on home screen TRUTH is these do not work, they use previous used codes for products and DO NOT work for Amazon Brand Registry products. Had to go back and forth before I was sent a link the unclear fine print. Just real fraudulent advertising. So Not Guaranteed!!

Every review i’ve added has been illegally and falsely removed by the trustpilot “bot” because the owner of barcodestalk has dedicated his days to saying any honest reviews are somehow illegal or harmful. if you look at all of the one star reviews, they are the actual truthful reviews.. I had to list this review as a higher star to try to warn everyone because the owner keeps removing them. I have reviewed here at least 10 times to try to warn people that what you purchase are not going to be your own UPC codes that are generated just for you… They are definitely going to be codes listed to another company. The owner of the company will then attempt to put rhetoric under the review to try to trick you to believe that you are somehow just mistaken and have a “brand issue”… when in fact, a brand issue means that the UPCs/products are being listed under another company/brand. The owner states all this who-ha in an attempt to devalue the review… Trust me all of the reviews that are one star ARE honest. Everyone needs to report this company to the Better Business Bureau. This company needs to be stopped. Too many people have lost money… Look at all of the one star reviews before he deletes them by lying and saying that what they have posted is “illegal or harmful”. As soon as trust, pilot updates at system and fixes the bot… This owner will no longer be able to list the one star reviews as being illegal harmful… It is being discovered what he is doing. Customers need to band together to stop this company from ripping us all off. Everyone that barcodes talks says does not have an order… Is a lie… Every single one star review has an order from them. It’s a real website. First, I reviewed BarCodesTALK on YouTube and then read Google reviews. All of them were favorable. So I took a chance. The week before, I got a free barcode for a subscription. I didn’t purchase the subscription, didn’t need it. They allowed me to download the free barcode. However it didn’t work on Walmart. I was skeptical until researching
I was wary, wondering why BarCodesTalk (BCT) was so cheap while GS1 was so spendy, so did some research. In 2002, a class action lawsuit resulted in anyone owning a company code (the first number group in UPC) as having full permanent ownership of that code. Post-lawsuit, all new barcodes were and are leased by GS1. BCT is a broker. Individuals and companies that own company codes and have unique numbers that are unused and they never intend to use are sold through BCT to earn money on their asset and permanently relinquish ownership of those numbers through a legal agreement. BCT has been in business over 20 years, ever since the lawsuit, so is serious about enforcing those agreements. My only recommendation for improvement is for the JPEG export of barcodes to be higher resolution to be useful. However, you can export as EPS vector files so this is not crucial.

I have been dealing with Bar Codes Talk for over a decade now but never really wrote a review of their service as I am not really into writing reviews. However, this time I had some technical issues involving a few barcodes and contacted their online support team. Not only these guys replied immediately but they were nice, attentive and courteous. They listened to me explain what the issue was and got it resolved immediately. As we all know - when everything is great - no one is contacting customer service or support teams. It only happens when there is some sort of a problem. Well, Bar Codes Talk guys exceeded my expectations by far! All it took to rectify my issue was a few quick emails. Stuff like this doesn’t happen very often these days. No runarounds, no back-and-forth, no time wasted. They pinpointed the issue and got it resolved immediately. I bought 100 bar codes to use on Amazon. They were all from the same vendor. None of them worked. I went round and round with the company for a replacement or a refund. It takes about 10 - 15 minutes PER bar code to run them through an Amazon listing creation as there are a few ways to change things and try again. This would have been fine had one workaround worked. They not only sell bunk bar codes, I wasted my time trying to use them and then wasted even more time trying to get a refund before filing a Paypal dispute.

Scamming small start up businesses is their business model. They sell barcodes that have already been used. When politely asking for a refund, they will condescendly suggest that you are using the codes incorrectly on amazon and refuse the refund. UPCs aren't art; this isn't up for interpretation. This is math, these are NUMBERS. They are used elsewhere or they aren't. Binary. No interpretations. Amazon Seller Central is unquestionably a pain to use, but among the reasons their databasing systems are so convoluted to protect from companies like this. My story is not unique. Look at the other one star ratings. They tell the same story. The positive reviews are clearly fake, I once worked for a company that paid for reviews too. What I have seen that is unique to me is that there were DUPLICATE upc codes in my order. I don't know where they are getting these things, but the operation is clearly pretty sloppy.

they Use recycled barcodes/most
They say they guarantee that the barcodes work for amazon but many are just recycled or already in use for other products. I have had several products barred from amazon as the barcodes were being used by other actual existing products that rent them. If you try and ask or get your money back, the company does not respond. It's really a luck of the draw and they are hoping you pay and then disappear. I mean, if you are going to constantly have to wrestle with amazon and play a game of russian roulette, then you'd want to know. They are preying on the novice. Of course, the new user doesn't know! I agree with other reviewers here! It is their responsibility to have no undeniable ambiguity in their claims. you cannot say "works in Amazon guaranteed" plastered on the website when it doesn't. If you question it, they start to give you the same 'Amazon is inherently flawed speech.' No, your website is flawed and your claims are misleading and fraudulent. If there is a caveat of any kind, then that should be clear as day! you can't say something is purple then in your terms and conditions have that something isn't purple. it is black.!?!?! No logic. In this case, any lawyer would tell you that this is fraud plain and simple. I should set up my own nonsense website. Use random numbers, create a "certificate" a 5 year old can make with Microsoft Word like they are making a "world' best mom' award and say WORKS ON AMAZON! If it walks and talks like a scam, it is a scam!

I bought 50 bar codes and was told they would be transferred into my company name. I even got a certificate! Completely false! My company will never be put into any data base as the owner of these codes as they are already assigned to another company. I spend $6,000 on labels that are now on my products with bar codes that belong to another company. I now have to get new codes from GS-1 and start from scratch! We can not list on amazon as the guarantee suggests.

Update: 04/23/2020 We are revising our review from 1-star to 3-star instead. The Bar Codes Talk Team has made it right by giving us a store credit on the pirated bar codes. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Extremely disappointed with this company. It used to be a good source for UPC codes, however, when I purchased 10,000 UPC codes on 03/15 and went to use them the following week, Amazon indicated that 2,000 of the codes were USED!!!! What the heck. I've reached out to the company to give them a chance to make it right. But they refused. They deflected the problem as an Amazon issue. By the way, I've purchased over 80,000 codes from them. I will move my business to another company. Does anyone have recommendations? I'll be filing a BBB complaint. My lawyer will file suit soon. And I'll warn others to avoid this firm via Yelp, Facebook, Twitter and other review sites.

This company has nothing to do with barcodes. They just sell you numbers, pretending to be a barcodes. I applied for an Russian manufacturer, they sold me numbers like my product is made in America, and they stated it's fine, there is no problem. I have got a real big problem because of them. Because using their barcode, I became an illegal seller, like I tried to cheat my customers, selling Russian product, but stating with barcode it's made in USA. And on my complaint they sent me just A4 fairytales and bla bla bla. Stole my money, put me in dangerous and illegal situation. Scammers.
